Whenever you hear about February, you immediately think about hearts and chocolates. However, I see it as a good opportunity to establish positive relationships with the people around us.
Relationships aren't just romantic.
It can be with your family, friends, teachers or even the community. Maybe a parasocial relationship with an online celebrity (I mean, the non-stalker one). I made up this holiday for my Wattpad readers because many people tend to leave out anyone who views relationships differently, are socially inexperienced and simply aren't fond of Valentine's Day altogether. What would it be like if a girl ar school comes over to a guy she admires and asked if he'd want to be her friend on Valentine's Day? The popular rich kid hangs out with the social outcasts? What if we give others who aren't brought up in social settings at all a chance to learn? Surely, the girl may come off as cheap and too quick to befriend someone. The rich kid would be seen as a loser. Definitely, people like me wouldn't be afraid of getting rejected and booted out of the building because their sensibilities got hurt. Oh, don't care about Valentine's Day? Then you're not alone. It doesn't necessarily mean you're bitter or hating on anyone who actually celebrates them. Everybody is valid as long as nobody's getting hurt. Let's all learn to be kind and accepting of others this February. 💗💕💖
