(Wednesday POV)

I sit in my bed, waiting for Enid to come back. She walks in.
"Sorry for leaving fur all over your floor. I didn't expect to wolf out during my sleep. It wasn't even a full moon." She says.
"It's ok. I say
"So you know how we're dating now?" I ask.
"Yeah?" She asks
"What will happen with you and Ajax?" I ask.
"Well we weren't dating in the first place but I can say that I just want to be friends. I'll text him now." She says, taking out her phone.

(Enid's chat:)

Enid: hey.

Ajax: hi, what's up?

Enid: I think we'd be better off as friends.

Ajax: me and you?

Enid: yeah.

Ajax: that's ok. Was thinking that too. You seem to have something between you and Wednesday so.

Enid: you know about that?

Ajax: well it's pretty obvious that you like her lol.

Enid: oh. Yeah, we're dating now.

Ajax: really? I'm happy for you :), you've liked her for a while.

Enid: thanks Ajax, you're a really great friend.

Ajax: no problem.

"So?" I say to her.
"I told him, he's very supportive." She says.
"Good." I say.
I hear her looking at things on her phone, something called TikTok.
I sit down next to her to watch.
They're like these little videos that you scroll through.
"Are you watching it with me?" She asks.
"No, I'm studying." I lie.
She pulls me down and I end up lying next to her.
I lean my head on her chest to see the phone.
"Now I can't see." She says.
"Too bad." I say.
I move a bit so that I'm comfortable and she can see.
"Thank you." She says.
She puts her arm around me.
Thing taps around excitedly.

"Thing stop fangirling." Enid says.
We stay like this for a bit.
Uncle Fester appears.
"Oh, am I interrupting something?"
"No." I say, sitting up.
"Are you sure?" He asks.
"Yes, what is it?" I ask him.
"Well I kinda need your help fixing the electric chair." He says
"Can Enid come?" I ask.
"Well it's quite dangerous but if she doesn't mind getting a little shock then sure." He says.
"Do you want to join?" I ask.
"Uh, no I'll let you professionals do it." She says.
"Ok. I'll be back." I say.

When I come back, Enid wasn't there. And then she jumps out in front of me.
"Boo!" She yells.
I remain unfazed.
"Boop." I say, bopping the tip of her nose and then sitting on my bed.
"You really aren't scared of anything." She says.
"Also did you just boop me?"
"That's not true. I'm just really good at hiding it." I say, I genuinely am.
"Wait so you could have been scared of me when I jumped out?" She says.
"I can't be scared of you, you're too cute." I say.
She smiles and sits next to me.
"No, you're cute."she says.
I turn to her.
"I am not cute." I say.
"Prove it." She says.
I go to say something, but stop.
I try to think.
"See you can't." She smiles.
"I will eventually." I say.
She studies me, only really looking at my face.
I do the same with her.
"You have freckles?" She says.
"Yeah." I say.
"What do you want to do?" She asks.
"Do you want to learn cello?" I ask.
"Woah, you never let me touch your cello."
"Well since you're my girlfriend, you have special privileges."
"Wait were girlfriends?"
"Was that not established when we confessed to eachother? Isn't that what dating is?"
"I always thought it was dating first, then you move up to girlfriend/boyfriend."
I think for a second.
"That makes sense, when you start dating it's usually just dating until you're ready to have a committed relationship."
"That means we can take it slow from the start if you want to." She smiles
"Do you want to go on a date tomorrow?"
She looks surprised at this.
"Yes!" She says.
"I'll pay though."
"Where?"
"Maybe a coffee shop, you can have dates there can't you?"
"Yeah, it's the usual meeting place."
"Maybe somewhere like Costa, or Starbucks."
"Do you know those places?"
"I like to get espresso from there."
"Quad over ice, that has caramel in it you know? I thought you didn't like sweet things."
"I don't mind that, I'm usually a bitter person but that doesn't mean I hate all sweet things."
"But you literally say you want nothing sweet."
"There are some flavours I don't like, there's no point describing what I don't want when I can just say I don't want anything sweet, it's quicker and easier."
"Touche."
"Tomorrow, Starbucks."
Thing runs in front of us.
"Can I come!"
"It's supposed to be a date, no plus one." I say.
"Come on! He can stay in my bag the whole time!" Enid says.
"...Fine." I say.
She fistbumps Thing.
Maybe this won't be too bad...
