The Basketball Player - Yuchae

Third person pov

Yuna dribbled the ball across the court as there was only 30 seconds left in the game. Sweat covered her face and neck as she tried to get the ball into the hoop on time. Just then someone snatched the ball out her hands and went towards the other side of the court.

The girl was about to shoot it into the hoop but one of the players on Yuna's team blocked it and caught the ball. Now there were only ten seconds left in the game. Yuna raised her arms telling her that she's open. For 5 seconds, the girl threw the ball in Yuna's direction and Yuna caught it easily. 4 Seconds, Yuna ran towards her goal, 3 seconds she shot the ball into the air, 2 seconds it went towards the hoop, 1 second it went into the hoop.

BUZZZ!!

Cheers were heard loudly, people screaming with joy that Yuna's team won. Her teammates ran towards her and hugged her.

"We won Yuna, we won" Yeji said

"Yeah your the best on this team" Ryujin said

The two then lifted her on their shoulders as everyone was still cheering and screaming. Yuna raised her arms in victory and was put down. She looked around the audience and saw a girl who she'd never seen before.

She had nice black hair and she had a sketch pat in her lap. She smiled since she thought the girl looked pretty. So she went up to her to at least get the girl's name.

Chaeryeong pov

I was drawing when all of a sudden I saw someone stomp their leg on the seat next to me. I look up and see a tall girl who looked about 5 '7 and had black hair tied into a ponytail. She had sweat dripping down her face and neck and she was out of breath too.

"Hey you new around here" she asked me

"Yeah I just moved here" I said

"Well I'm Yuna, what's your name" she asked me

"I'm Chaeryeong, Lee Chaeryeong" I said

"Well it's very good to meet you Chaeryeong" she said

She held out her hand for me too take and I happily accepted it.

"So you like Basketball" she asked me

"Not really I just come here to support the school and draw" I said and she nodded

"Well if you want to can I have your phone number" she asked me

"Sure" I said

I ripped a tiny piece of paper out and wrote my number on it and gave it to her.

"I'll text you tonight" she said

"Okay" I said

Just then some other girl from her team came up to us.

"Yuna come on we're gonna go out with the whole team tonight" the girl said

"I'll be there in a minute" Yuna said

"Okay I'll wait for you but hurry up" The girl said and walked away

"Sorry about her but I'll see you around okay" she said

"Yeah of course" I said

"Bye" she said

"Bye I said back and she walked away

I decided to get my things and go back home. I grabbed my purse and other belongings and headed out the gym to my car. I drove to my dorm with my roommates Jennie and Irene.

Yuna pov

After everyone changed into some comfortable clothes we all went to Ryujin's house since she always had party's at her house and she had the biggest house. It's not a mansion, it's just a regular 2 story house with a lot of area inside.

Me and the team we're having a few beers with each other to celebrate our win tonight. We had some champagne too.

"Alright everyone gather around" Yeji yelled getting everyone's attention standing on a wooden table

"Tonight we celebrate our best wins and hopefully next year we go to nationals and win the big game of our lives" Yeji said

"And to also make us the best basketball team in Seoul, Korean" Ryujin said

Then she shook a bottle of champagne and opened it, making it sprinkle everywhere. Everyone yelled and cheered and shouted 'Tigers' cause our school mascot is a tiger.

After a lot of partying and getting drunk everyone then calmed down. Since I didn't drink much I just sat on the couch of Ryujin's living room and played on my phone. That's when I remembered I had Chaeryeong's phone number.

I decided to text her and that's what I did.

Hey Chaeryeong how r u

I'm good what about you

I'm good too

That's good to know how was your night after the game

I mean I'm the only one up rn the rest are
Just passed out from drinking too much

Dang y'all be partying way too much

Yeah we always do sometimes we even
Be going to places and mess around

Well I'm glad your having fun

Well maybe next Monday after school
I'll take you out on a date

Yeah sure that sounds nice
What time

Like around 7pm I'll pick you up
