All I could do was watch as mother paced around the room. She had been talking about how she had to go somewhere for some sort of business thing and at the time she seemed ok with it but now she's freaking out.
"Mother what's the matter?" I say as I try to make eye contact with her.
"Dear look, I have to tell you something." She said sitting down next to me so that our eyes were at the same level.
"I have to leave you with your umm-" she hesitated for a minute before she continued.
"I have to leave you with your uncle and he lives inside the walls." She finished her sentence before looking away as though she was scared of my reaction.
"You have to leave me with uncle? A man I have never met before?" I say with a serious look.
"I would have took you with me if I could but I can't! Look I'll be back before you know it ok!" She gave me a smile but I could see that she was against the idea of leaving me alone with uncle.
