"Hilltop? Where's that?" Daryl huffed as he kept the barrel of the gun pressed to the back of Jesus' head.

"I can show you." Jesus calmly spoke. "Just please lower your weapons so that we can have a civil conversation."

My eyes wandered to Daryl who shook his head. I narrowed my eyes once more at the intruder as I slowly lowered the gun. I knew Daryl wouldn't lower his gun but I could see visible relief from Jesus as one weapon was no longer aimed at him.

"You're a recruiter you say?" I turned the safety on before tucking the gun into the back of my pants.

"I'm more like an ambassador for the Hilltop Colony. I recruit groups or individuals like yourselves in hopes that we can work together."

"Work together how?" I crossed my arms over my chest.

"Trade." Jesus explained.

"Who is yer leader?"

"His name is Gregory." Jesus slowly lowered his hands. "Can we sit and chat?"

"Go grab Rick while him and I chat." Daryl motioned towards the door with his head as he nudged Jesus forward to the couch.

I nodded my head, ran to Ricks place and pounded on the door. "Come on Rick. Wake up."

Slowly the door opened as Rick rubbed his tired eyes. "What is it?"

"There's something you need to see!"

"Can it wait till morning?" He yawned.

"I wouldn't be here if it weren't urgent!" I snapped at him.

Ricks eyes widened as this seemed to wake him completely. "Where?"

"My place."

Rick quickly pulled over a jacket and tied on his boots before following me back to the house. We both stormed inside and stared at the intruder with suspicion. Daryl stood behind the couch and continued to aim his gun at the mans head.

"Ah, you must be the leader." Jesus eyed Rick as he took in every detail of him. "I'm Jesus."

Rick scoffed, "You've got to be kidding me!"

"He's not." I sighed. "He says his name is Paul Rovia but goes by Jesus."

Rick raised an eyebrow before he sat across from Jesus. "Where did you come from?"

"A place not far from that gas station you were at today."

"What's your groups name?" Rick scratched the stubble on his chin.

"We are The Hilltop Colony."

"He said his leaders name is Gregory." Daryl muttered.

"How can we trust you?" Rick glared at Jesus. "You already broke into our community without being caught."

"That part was easy to do especially when you only have two guards and a weak spot in your wall." Jesus quirked an eyebrow.

I let out a frustrated sigh as I knew exactly how he came in. Note to self; fix the fence!

"Look, we're on the same side!" Jesus spoke.

"And what side is that?" Daryl huffed.

"The living side. You two could've killed me but instead you've taken time to sit down and talk with me. Heck, you even brought your leader over." Jesus glanced between all of us. "I come from a place that's a lot like this one. Part of my job is searching out other settlements to trade with. I was planning on stealing your truck back at the gas station because my group needs supplies."
