Avni met her baby

Neil: Nurse.

A nurse came and Neil talked to her. Avni was looking at the baby. The nurse nodded and Neil looked at Avni.

Neil: Avni, let’s go.

Avni: but, Neil.

Neil: Avni, you can’t see how she will feed the baby.

Avni panicked.

Avni: why? Wh, what will she do? I will not let her do anything to my baby.

Neil cupped Avni’s face.

Neil: she will not harm our baby; she is here to take care of our baby.

Avni was looking at Neil with teary eyes.

Neil: our baby is in the incubator so she will feed him accordingly.

Avni looked at Neil with tearful eyes.

Neil: please understand.

Avni was looking at Neil, she turned her face and saw her baby.

Neil: let’s go, our baby is hungry. Let’s go fast so that, she can feed him.

Avni looked at Neil who nods. Avni was looking at him emotionally, she turned her face to the baby and Neil also looked at the baby.

Neil: sit.

Neil helped Avni to sit and then Avni looked at the baby, Neil too saw the bay. Neil turns the wheelchair and Avni turns her face to see her baby. She was looking at the baby. Neil stopped at some distance and turns his face to see the baby then Avneil looked at each other and again they saw the baby then Neil took Avni from there who was trying to see her baby.

Later, Avni was laying on the bed in a fowler position and was lost. Neil came there and looked up. He saw Avni is lost from the time she came back after meeting their baby. Neil thinks and smiled a fake smile. He came to Avni. Avni came back to reality and she turned her face. Neil smiled to see her. Avni got anxious.

Avni: Neil, our baby?

Neil kept his hand on Avni's shoulder and he blinked his eyes to assure her.

Neil: our baby is fine and is sleeping now peacefully.

Avni: you are saying the truth, right?

Neil: no, I am telling lie.

Avni looked at Neil innocently.

Neil: of course, I am saying the truth. Why would I lie, Avni?

Avni looked down.

Avni: so that, I don't take the stress.

Neil sighs. He leaned toward Avni by holding the bed with one hand and keeps the hair strands behind Avni's ear.

Neil: I am not hiding anything from you, Avni.

Avni looked at him.

Neil: trust me.

Avni nods.

Avni: I trust you but I am feeling helpless.

Neil nods by lowering his gaze.

Neil: hmm, I understand.

Neil looked at Avni.

Neil: don't worry, this phase will pass too and then we will live happily together.

Avni smiled and Neil caressed Avni's face with the back of his hand. Avni smiled by looking down. Neil too smiled. Neil thinks and he stood properly and then he sat beside Avni and side hugs her.

Neil: Avni, do you remember how much you trouble me in the last few days?

Avni looked at Neil who also turned his face to her. They smiled.

Neil: How much you craved for things.

Avni smiled and looked down, she rubbed the palm of her hand.

Neil: and that ice cream incident.

Neil caught his head.

Neil: oh God, one hour, one hour I roamed in the car in search of ice cream.

Avni looked at Neil and smiled.

Neil: and it took me two hours to reach home.

Neil looked at Avni who was looking at him.

Avni was controlling her laugh and Neil smiled.

Neil: does it make sense?

Avni shrinks her shoulder.

Avni: what do I do? Your baby was craving for ice cream.

Neil: in midnight, it was 2:45 of night.

Avni: so.

Neil: so. I was so afraid of what if the police caught me.

Avni looked at him and starts laughing. Neil smiled.

Avni: ouch.

Avni kept her hand on her stomach.

Neil panicked.

Neil: you ok?

Avni: yeah.

Neil: be careful. Should I call the doctor?

Avni makes a face.

Avni: you are also a doctor.

Neil makes a face.

Neil: I know but I can't see your wounds.

Avni smiled.

Avni: why?

Neil looked away.

Neil: I can't see them, that's it, no more discussion.

Avni smiled.

Avni: relax, I am fine.

Neil looked at Avni.

Avni: but it was fun.

Neil frowned.

Avni: that ice cream night.

Neil straighten his eyebrows then they smiled and recalled that night.
