When we got to the bus station where Kevin hid the tablet, we found out that someone had broke into the lockers and taken it. Luckily, we found out from a guard that the guy who did it was being detained at the police station so that was our next stop.

"Should have known they'd plant a LoJack in one of them bags," the guy, Clem Smedley said. "Sharp guy, that Jerry. He'll be fine replacement for me."

"Right," Sam nodded, seated across from him at the interrogation table. "Well, in one of those lockers, there was a tablet. Do you know where it is?"

Dean was pacing slightly and I was just leaning against the wall watching stone faced.

"Can I even acknowledge that without my lawyer here?" Smedley asked.

"Uh, look, I'm sure we can work out a little, uh, something-something with the locals if you cooperate..."

I tuned out a little, noticing Dean also seemed to be getting lost in thought, and knew he was thinking about the same thing I was.

I glared as Dean turned a slow circle with his Purgatory blade in his hand. Benny was standing in front of a humanoid monster who had his back sprawled against a tree. It had been a week and we still hadn't found Cass after I lost him.

"I don't think he knows, man," Benny looked to Dean.

"Oh, he knows," Dean replied, leaning in and putting a hand on the monster's shoulder. "Where's the angel?"

In the present, I watched as Dean circled behind Smedley while Sam was still interrogating him, removing his tie as he did so. In a swift motion, he wrapped the tie around Smedley's neck, forcing him to his feet and shoving him against the wall with a knife to his neck.

"Hey!" Sam cried, rapping a hand on the table. "Dean. Come on."

"You..."

"... feel that?" Dean asked, pressing his blade into the monster's neck.

"There's a stream," the monster replied.

"Go on," Dean growled.

"It runs through a clearing not far from here. I'll show you."

I swallowed as Dean turned the knife slightly so the tip was digging into the creature's chin.

"How about you just tell me?"

"Hey," Sam protested again, standing up. "Dean!"

I just continued watching impassively from my spot by the wall.

"Pawn shop, First and Main," Smedley said.

"Go on," Dean spat.

"Three days' journey. The girl's been there. Follow the stream. There's a clearing. You'll find your angel there."

Dean glanced over his shoulder at me and Benny. Benny raised an eyebrow and I just nodded slightly to confirm that I knew what the monster was talking about.

"You know what, Mutt? I believe you."

He shoved his knife the rest of the way into the creature's chin so it was buried in its skull. It choked and gurgled and then Dean pulled the knife back out, the monster's head falling forward.
