When Tommy had changed Adeline for the safety of his family she was destroyed. The man she had opened her harden heart to had betrayed her to give her back to her father.

She was received in the palace by the open arms of her father, and she had no other option but to be embraced in them, her heart as stone as before Small Heath.

Sometime later she was persuaded by her father to give the Marquess William a chance to court her, that after a year and a half of miserable courting she was in the tight position of accepting a marriage proposal.

She was unhappy to say the least.

But she accepted it, she didn't really have any other choice in the matter, Adeline didn't care about that man as cruel as it sounds, and he didn't care about her either, merely using her as a means to and end. Like always, because who in their right mind will deny the approval of the king?

Adeline had gotten busy, feeling useless when she came back to the palace, she asked her father for borrowed money, to start her own money income, she refused live off of father's money until she was old and withered.

She bought a piece of land in one of the newest spots in London, she designed houses, with the help of an architect- and sold them. They were quickly bought, and the newest spot of London, became the most popular and valued place to live. She quickly payed back the money she owed to her father, and went to design more houses.

The only person she had mantain contact with was her Aunt Polly and her uncle Ben along with some notes from Peter, and that was it.

Two years have passed since she took her travel to Small Heath, and after a rather teary call from Ada, she was coming back.
