I was sleeping when nana came and woke me
"Omg yaya jiddarh you are sleeping how can you sleep in this situation"
"What situation what is it please let me sleep" I said trying to go back to bed.
"No you can't sleep while you are trending sis get your phone and see what I am talking about" I got up I was curious what did she mean I was trending I got up and carried my phone I saw literally 10 missed calls from Amina 5 from Ibrahim and 7 from Yusuf with a text from Ibrahim saying hey please call me it's urgent I am at the hospital but I will stop by later or if we get the chance to talk on phone then another text from Yusuf I can explain everything please call me back.
Okay now I am scared what is going on nana said I should ignore them for now turn on my data and enter Instagram and the first thing I saw shocked me it was a post from Arewafamily weddings and the caption read

"Hello Reina I can explain Iswear it's not like I planned it or anything .after ummu Salma took that pic of us she posted it yesterday on her Instagram story around 11pm I didn't view it till 12am that means it was there for an our and she posted it as couple crush with a love song I immediately messaged her to take it down telling her that we aren't official yet but I guess since it was posted for an hour before she took it down the bloggers had already gotten the picture and they posted it this morning turns out the photographers who were at the wedding also thought we were a couple and snapped us those other 3 pictures so when they saw the arewa blogs posted the first one around 4am they decided to sell the other pictures to them you know how Nigerians are with clout some times and that is how they sold them the pics and they turned it into a story that is now trending but I already spoke to the people photographer and told him to delete the pictures and not sell them again and I threatened the blog to take it down but they are trying to be stubborn and I will call my lawyer I have just been a bit busy with work"he explained.
"Oh Allah people will just see things and won't wait to confirm first and will just jump to thier own conclusion but even if the lawyer takes legal action it has already gone viral and so many people must have screenshotted and are already reposting and creating shippers account I mean we can't sue everyone" I said to him.
"I am really sorry Reina I also don't want you to be in the public eye like that I know you enjoy your private life but now so many people will start sending you dms and even start confronting you in school but please promise me anybody that insults you or says something bad you will tell me and I will know what to do"he said
"Well the deed has been done I just have to live with it besides this is social media and with time another gossip will come and they will forget all about us"

"Aright then bye have a nice day" he said and we need the call .I had to put the call on speaker so nana wnd Amina heard everything and they both said I should call ibrahim I was nervous. But I picked the phone and dailed him.
"Hello" he said in a low tune I could feel the hurt from his voice.
"Hey I know we have a lot to talk about so are you free to talk now"I said
"Yea I am kinda free I just want to know why if you where in love with another man why didn't you just say so jiddarh?isn't he thesame guy I saw you with a Maryam's wedding? Are you trying to pay me back for what I did to you is that it?is it revenge?"he asked . I was silent for a minute I decided it's time I told him the truth .I asked nana and Amina to excuse me and they left the room. I finally spoke.
"Ibrahim things are not the way they seem Yusuf and I are not dating yes he was my ex but that was five years ago after you and I broke up I dated Yusuf for a while but we also broke up and lost contact until a few months ago when we met at my tailors shop and no I am not trying to take revenge on you or anything it was just a misinterpreted situation he asked me to accompany him to his cousins wedding and then I saw his mum and I had to greet her and then the photographer took pictures at the wrong time and gave it to this blogs and they gave it thier own meaning and started spreading rumors. Iswear to you Yusuf and I are not dating but at thesame time I would be lying if I said I didn't have feelings for him I mean I like you and I like him too and I know that sounds selfish but I havnt figured out my feelings yet and I just need a little more but what happened wasn't on purpose by Allah I didn't mean to hurt you neither did I lie or do anything for revenge I do care about you you are my first love and you mean a lot to me and I am really sorry for hurting you" I said.he was silent for a while I had to check to see if the call was still on.
"Promise me 1 thing jiddarh "he finally said.
"What is it" I asked
"Promise me that when the day comes that you feel you love him and not me you will tell me first before you tell him and if you eventually feel you love me not him you will tell me first before you tell him, promise me what ever decision you make I will be the first to know"
"I promise you I will" I said it is the least I owe him . With that he told me he was going back to work he had a patient and we ended the call oh God what a day.
