The dorm felt emptier without Cedric Diggory's presence, yet, he can't seem to leave it and move into the HeadBoy dorm because that's his. Cedric was supposed to be HeadBoy. He was the Golden Boy, the example of Hufflepuffs. If he didn't know any better, he'd think Cedric was the descendent of Helga, as it's the only thing that makes sense.

People joked about it—they use to joke about it, how they were soulmates. But, a few minutes after Tony and Alia had left the stands, a sharp pain ran through his gut and up to his chest, stopping right above his heart. It was painful but wasn't painful enough to overcome his anxiety about his best friend in a maze.

Then Potter came out with Cedric's body. That's when he felt the worst pain he's ever felt. He could feel his heart breaking, and breaking, and breaking as he ran down the steps with Noah. He doesn't remember much after that, except the lifeless green eyes that use to be so bright and full of happiness.

That night, he had a dream of Cedric. Now, that may sound like a romantic thing, but it wasn't. They were soulmates—platonic soulmates, which may be why he had the dream.

The two of them were in the muggle village he lives in. Snow was laying on the ground, kids were throwing snowballs and making snowmen. It was peaceful. When he turned to the side next to him, Cedric was there, staring at him with a sad smile.

"I'm sorry, Tommy."

"For what?" he asked. Cedric had no reason to apologize. He didn't ask to be killed by You-Know-Who.

"For leaving," Cedric said his eyes tearing up. "I hope you don't blame yourself, or Harry, especially not that poor boy. Or Accalia."

He wanted to ask but thought better of it and just looked out at the kids playing happily, not realizing the danger that is bubbling under their noses.

"I'm not angry. I don't—I don't blame Potter. I don't blame you. I certainly don't blame Alia. I just—I feel..."

How is he supposed to explain it?
