Author POV

Slipping the white top paired up with floral print jacket, Lucas got a jeans as bottom.

He was getting ready for the party Patrick threw as it was his birthday today. At first, he had no intrest attending it but when he was told that Ava would be there too, he couldn't say no.

The day he dragged her out of the store, something between her and him had changed. That night, he was at bar drinking but don't know what happened afterwards. All he remember was having a too good dream of Ava.

Well that's all he remembered. He had no idea of what happened that night between both of them, neither her confession nor the kisses.

This thing made Ava annoyed a lot. At first, she thought he was acting but then realised he really didn't remember.

She wanted to tell him everything but didn't want to look like desperate one. So, she acted along too going with the flow.

Lucas set his hairs a bit before messing them again. He couldn't find the perfect hairstyle for himself. To him, he always looked a bit low compared to what he wanted to look like in front of Ava.

Suddenly, he got a call from Ava. Picking up the call, he rushed down the stairs.

"I'm at the door." She said but he was already exiting the door walking toward her.

As soon as her eyes landed over him, she couldn't help but stare at him. The way he looked each day made her get lost in him and tonight.... He defeated everyone was perfect in her eyes.

"Let's go." He signalled her to get in the car before he got on the drivers seat.

From that night, it was him driving them to university and home. And even today, Ava told him to drive her to Patrick's house. He was confused at first that she was spending her time with him by her own, without him forcing her but it was a blessing to him and he enjoyed it.

While he drove, he couldn't help but check her out each time he could glance at her. She wore her casual clothing but with her hairs open looking more ethereal.

The drive was silent just her asking some questions and him answering in a way explaining more. He didn't want to cut the conversation short with her. He wanted it never ending. It made him happy that he was getting to talk to her.

He pulled the car in front of the huge house lit with different lights and spotlights all over.

They both walked in greeting all their friends in the way. Not too long, Lucas found her being too talkative with his friends and not even looking at him. Little did he knew, she stole glances at him as the secret conversation between her and his friends was about him only.

They all knew what happened that night and her confessing to him. They all were happy but when got to know that Lucas think of that all as a dream, they all were done with their so called badboy stupid friend.

"He knew you loved him. Thats why he was sticking to you even if you wanted him away. If not for that night, he must've given up on you thinking you must be happy with that Jason friend of yours." Michael told them causing all of his friends giggle.

Out of nowhere, Ava's eyes caught the sight of the same girl she found with Lucas that night in bar. The voice imposter of Ava.

Her blood boiled watching her staring at Lucas continuously and then whispering something in her minion's ear.

Her minion smirked before pulling something from her pocket and handing her a little white pouch.

Ava found everything suspicious because whenever Lucas drank earlier, he always remembered whatever happened but only that night, he forgot everything.
