AURELIUS

It was the best day of my life. And by the best? I mean THE BEST.

I finally managed to know the password to the school kitchens and had free waffles all day long. To be really honest, our school sold them at such a high price that no doubt, we could afford it but please, I could use that money and get some RayBans for myself.

Anyways, I reached home and took two steps at a time to go to Isabella's room to give her her part of the waffles. Isabella was my youngest sister and currently, she was two years old. Very very hell naughty but I adored her the most. She had my mother's looks, my dad's heart, rockstar's dimples, aunt Sofie's soft laughter and my beauty all inside her. End result? A cute little shit who was at times hard to control but still controllable. I remember taking her to the rooftop in my arms to make her see the stars and the sigh that left her mouth as she rested her little chicken head on my shoulders was enough to make me fall in love with my little sister
as I cuddled her damn close to me. Cute baby of Auri, huh.

I skipped past the first floor, then the second and was about to reach our room when I caught glimpse of a body running behind the corner of the balcony. Furrowing my brows and leaving my bag with the box of waffles on the floor, I tip toed and cautiously followed the way to see who that person was and what was all of this about. Rockstar had high ass security here, so it was doubtful that any other person could enter the house but still, anything could happen anytime and I had no weapon to defend myself. So, silently taking off my shoe and mentally smacking myself for my choice of weapon, I advanced forward slowly, inwardly freaking out because I could feel my death coming closer to me when I peeked through the corner to see no one around. Not wanting to loosen up my guard, I continued moving forward slowly and took
off my other shoe as well to avoid any noise.

Fast forwarding ten minutes and the whole goddamn balcony and floor were empty. I checked through the whole floor and there was literally nobody and I can swear to God, that I saw someone. Not wanting to brush it off of my shoulders as some hallucination, I ran towards the control room where James, the tech, greeted me, "Oh heyy kiddo-"

"James. Second Floor. Recordings. Now."

He seemed confused, "But-"

"James. Fucking. Now. I don't have time."

He nodded in urgency and quickly turned on the computers, rewinded the footages when we saw Alessia crying and running frantically?

I furrowed my brows and asked James to follow her movements through the cameras as it was very weird to see her cry. The only time I had seen her crying badly was when Rockstar had been shot severely bad and the other time was when Aunt Sofie was in the hopsital giving birth. She didn't know that she was having a sibling but seeing her mum in the hospital made her cry. So seeing her like this when both of her parents were in perfect health, was somewhat very odd.

The camera footages quickly caught onto her when we saw her having a panic attack and just running and running and running around the house, crying her eyes out. My heart was slamming against my chest as I had no idea what had happened. She was like my little sister and seeing her this way shook my entire world. We saw her run into the kitchen which was already deserted as she took out a knife when my eyes widened. What the fuck?

I asked James to triple the speed of the recording and within a few minutes, I was running towards the rooftop to stop Alessia. She was constantly making cuts on her arms as seen from the footages and she was seen running to the rooftop. I had no idea what had gone wrong and what had just happened for her to take such a bold step knowing that if anything was disturbing her, all she had to do was tell her father or us, and everything would have been sorted out.
