From that day Y/n was taken in by the Yeager Household, her new family. And Eren had promised to take care of Y/n ever since that day. Y/n fitted in perfectly well with everyone, she started smiling a lot more, gradually, the pain she went through was overwritten by the warmth from everyone, and now Y/n wanted to do everything she could to stay with Eren and his family. 3 years whizzed by and both Eren and Y/n are now both 10 years old.

Y/n and Eren would always go outside to play, Y/n was all perfectly healthy now, the nutrition her body needed was of course given by Eren's mum with her wonderful cooking. Grisha also made regular checks on her condition and was very pleased with how Y/n had been coping with everything, although the wounds took some time to heal, they eventually did, however leaving scars behind that would hurt from time to time, but other than that, Y/n was doing well. But the problem was that Y/n's body could not tolerate the cold, she would get ill very quickly so her body needed to be kept warm.

Y/n and Eren were currently sitting on the sofa, whilst Grisha checked Y/n's vitals and gave her the green light to go and play outside. Grisha had just checked her blood pressure, he smiled when he saw it was normal.

''Alright Y/n, you're all set...now you two kiddos can go and play outside'' Grisha smiled as he gently patted Y/n's and Eren's heads

''Arigato!!'' Y/n smiled widely as she got up and grabbed Eren's hands and ran off

''BYE BYE!!'' Both Eren and Y/n yelled as they waved their hands

''Be careful! Eren make sure you take care of Y/n okay!'' Eren's mum yelled back

''HAI!!'' Eren yelled back as he smiled and waved at his parents.

Both Eren's parents were watching the two silly goofballs run off like it was no tomorrow. Both had warm smiles plastered on their faces.

''I think Eren will be taking care of our little Y/n for a long time....a very long time...'' Grisha smiled as he looked at his wife

''If you know what I mean'' Grisha added as he giggled, causing Eren's mum to stare at him

''Shush! They're still kids!'' Eren's mum smacked Grisha's arm

''It's Eren's and Y/n's choice when it comes to choosing their life partners Honey....'' Eren's mum shook her head

''Wanna bet.....I think those two will end up together..'' Grisha claimed as he stood there proudly with his arms over his chest

''Oh yeah....but I think Eren and Y/n are just best friends....it's still up to them who they want to choose'' Eren's mum stood their with her arms folded over her chest

''W-what...how long have you been there Eren?'' Eren's mum stuttered as she looked at Eren

''Uhm...I just came back to get Y/n's cardigan'' Eren spoke up as he walked over to the sofa and grabbed the cardigan
