"Hey"

Jisung smiled tiredly at his
just as sleepy baby on his chest,
stroking her chubby cheek with
his index finger.

He had just woken up a few
minutes ago, feeling as if he
hadn't slept in years but the
moment he had opened his eyes,
his gaze fell onto his daughter.

The tiny drowsy girl looked at her
papa with her big sparkling eyes,
staring back so innocently making
Jisung forget about what had
happened for a moment.

Her little hands were holding
onto the thin fabric of the boy's
hospital gown as if she was
worried that someone might
take her away if she didn't
hold on tight enough.

They kept staring at each other,
a soft smile creeping on the boy's
face as he watched how his daughter's
eyes slowly but surely fell close
until she was deep asleep again,
drooling slightly on her papa's chest.

"J-jisung oh my goodness-"

"Shh"

The boy immediately sushed
Minho who had just entered
the room, almost crying out
the moment he had noticed
that Jisung was awake.

"Oh my, I need to get the doctor,
you should- I have to-"

But when the ravenette reached
out to take Aera away from her papa,
the boy immediately put his hands
on her tiny back and head,
caressing her fluff of curly
hair to calm her when
she whined.

"It's okay, go back to sleep"

Jisung smiled up shyly at Minho
when the said male stared at him
with a mixture of disbelief,
confusion, pure happiness
and adoration.

Did the boy's brain suffer
from what had happened?

"J-jisung-
H-how are you feeling?"

The older really tried to blink
his unshed tears away as he sat
down on the edge of the hospital bed,
subconsciously reaching his hand
out to cup the other's soft cheek.

"Tired. So tired.
But I want to go home."

He looked at Minho with those
sad puppy eyes but the ravenette
wasn't dense, he could still see
the mental tiredness as well in
those chocolate brown orbs.

Yes, Jisung was alive.

But not because he had been
the one changing his mind.

It was all thanks to the fate
that Changbin and Luna had
been there and to all the doctors
trying their best to keep the
boy from dying.

Jisung had wanted to die and
there was no way to deny that.

Was he disappointed
that he was still alive?

Minho didn't know.

But the way he was treating
Aera gave him hope.

Maybe he had realized in those
hours so close to death that there
were indeed people who loved
him and who needed him.

Especially his daughter.

"M-minho?"

"Hm?"

Jisung looked at him with glossy eyes,
his bottom lip already quivering
dangerously before he completely
broke down.

His hands found their way
to Aera's little back and head,
hugging her close as he cried
so heartbreakingly, making
the older tear up as well.

"I- I'm so sorry"

The boy hiccuped,
his tears not stopping.

"I'm sorry for burdening you again,
I- I'm sorry for making you worry,
I'm sorry that- that you have to
pay my hospital bills now..
I-I'm sorry, I'm so sorry."

"Shh Sungie, please don't be sorry,
I'll always care and worry about you.
You mean so much to me,
I'd swim to America if
that'd make you happy."

Jisung couldn't help but
giggle softly through his tears,
Minho really knew how to
comfort him.

"Please just promise me something."

Although the younger didn't reply,
he looked at the ravenette in a
way that Minho knew that he
was waiting for him to continue.

"Talk to me.
I want to help you,
I really want you to feel better.
But you have to let me help you,
please talk to me if those thoughts
come up again.

Don't leave me again."

A single tear rolled down
Minho's cheek but when Jisung
stared at him with a spark of
hope flickering in his eyes,
he knew that maybe,
just maybe,
they'd be alright somehow.
