"Welcome home"

Minho smiled softly when
he opened the door to his
apartment that was right
above his bakery.

He had been able to convince
Jisung that the younger really
wouldn't be a burden to him if
he stayed with him.

"It's so beautiful."

"Thank you.
Follow me,
I'll show you your room."

The younger nodded and
waddled behind Minho to
a white door right beside
the open kitchen that led to
a small guest room.

A bed was standing under
the big window from where
you had a great view over the
beautiful huge garden and the
adjacent corn field that reached
to the horizon and a big white
closet stood on the right
side of the room.

Jisung's gaze immediately fell
on the cute rocking chair in
the free corner beside the
bed on a knitted carpet,
the whole interior gave
off a cozy vintage vibe.

A bouquet of dried flowers
stood on the bedside table and
a painting of a woman in a
summer dress kissing a white
horse on the forehead hung
above the headrest of the bed.

Minho had noticed the
younger's stare on the portrait,
a smile finding its way on his
face seeing the young woman
with her horse.

"This is my grandma with
her mare Stella.
They had an amazing bond,
my grandpa had always told
me that he had never seen
someone being this connected
to an animal.

The two were inseparable,
that's why my grandfather
let someone portray the two.
It's beautiful, right?"

Jisung nodded softly,
still not able to take his gaze
off the beautiful painting and
also unable to close his mouth
that had fallen open in pure
fascination.

"It's as if you can see the
love between the two."

"Yeah, I know, right?
I can show you some photos
of them later if you want but
for now I'd like to prepare a
bath for you if you want and
after that you're going to
rest a bit."

"Thank you"

The blue-haired boy smiled
softly for the first time ever
since they had left the train
and Minho knew that this
'thank you'
wasn't only directed at him
for the bath offer.

"Of course sweetie."

While the older had gone
to fill the bathtub,
Jisung was left alone in
the room that'd be his
home for a while now.

Apparently.

He waddled over to the
bed and sat down,
making sure that he
didn't make the bedsheets
dirty with his dirty clothes
and turned a bit to look outside.

This was so different from Seoul.

He had been so used to living
in a big city where his sight
had always been blocked by
thousands of skyscrapers and
other buildings so he couldn't
get enough of seeing the horizon.

The part where earth and sky kissed.

Although Gimpo wasn't
small and also a quite big city,
Minho lived more in the countryside.

And Jisung had a window on
the west side of the house so he
could see the sun setting perfectly.

Whenever he felt like it he
could simply watch the bright
red ball sinking until it disappeared
behind the cornfield and left the
sky in colors of pink, purple
and dark blue.

And Minho's garden was so beautiful.

All kinds of bushes were
somehow cuddled up to the
few isolated trees and the grass
was covered by colorful flowers.

But one little bush immediately
caught Jisung's attention.

A small bush with tiny purple
blossoms, a little hidden but
noticeable thanks to the small
path that led to it from the
house's veranda.

The boy made sure to remember
to ask Minho about it later but
for now he was too caught up
in appreciating the beauty of
nature in front of him.

And he had been so caught
up in the moment that he
hadn't even noticed how he
had subconsciously started
to caress his belly gently
since the small child had
begun to shift a little.

Since many readers here also read
my other books, I wondered:

Is there anything you learned for
life from my books?

Not directly in an educational way,
more like.. A way of thinking?
If that makes any sense?
