Jisung waddled downstairs
in one of his new sweaters
they had gotten the other day,
a very soft white one that was
slightly oversized so it could
hide his belly as well.

He had just finished cleaning
the table after their breakfast
since Minho had to take the bread
out of the oven in the bakery but
now the boy was bored.

And he thought,
why not ask the older
if he could help?

That's the least he could do
in return for living for free here.

"Minho?"

"I'm here~"

The older immediately smiled
once he saw Jisung on the stairs
and rushed over to him to
help him down.

"Why are you here?
Is something wrong?"

"Ah no no, everything is fine.
I just wanted to ask you if I
could help you?"

The blue-haired boy used
his best puppy eyes when he
saw the frown on Minho's face.

He knew that the ravenette
just wanted him to rest and
not to do any unnecessary
work but just resting all
alone was boring.

Soonie had left this morning, probably hunting some birds by now.

"Okay.
You can help me by putting
the fresh bread on the counters,
I'll tell you where to put what.
But only under one condition."

"Yes?"

"You'll take a break and sit
down every 20 minutes, okay?"

"Okay!"

Jisung smiled widely,
clearly excited to be able
to help Minho.

While the older stayed in the
bakery shop to sell his goods
to everyone who entered,
the boy did as he was told.

And although he didn't like
to admit it, he really needed
those little breaks every
twenty minutes.

With the additional weight
in front of him he just couldn't
stand very long until his feet
and back would hurt.

And at some point the baby
had woken up too, excited to
hear all the sounds from the
outside and moved around happily.

At first it didn't bother Jisung,
it was just a bit uncomfortable
since the baby liked to lay horizontally in his belly
from time to time.

But the more time went by,
the harsher the unborn's kicks
got and it hurt.

The boy was just about to
collect another of those
amazing smelling breads when
the little child decided to kick him
in the ribs so hard that he stumbled
forward, groaning in pain and letting
go of the bread by accident.

Seeing the bread on the dirty floor,
the one Minho had made with
so much love, made him angry.

He had just one job but he had failed.

But he suppressed his tears of
anger and disappointment and
bent down carefully to pick up
the now dirty bread.

Just as he was about to grab the
baked goods, the baby kicked him,
again, not very gently in the ribs,
making Jisung almost fall over.

"Can you just stop it?!
It hurts for fuck's sake!!"

Minho, immediately alarmed
by the younger's loud screams,
rushed to the storage room
with his whole face literally
screaming worry.

"Jisung?!"

But what he now witnessed
was something that he'd
never be able to forget.

The pure anger on the boy's face
as he hit his bump with his fist.

"Jisung!
What the fuck are you doing?!
Are you drunk?!"

Minho screamed as he
ran to the blue-haired male,
slapping his hand away and
putting his own hands protectively
on the belly.

"Why did you do that, huh?!"

He was so mad,
he was actually furious.

Jisung had realized the moment
the older had screamed his name
that he had done something terribly
wrong but it was too late.

The damage was done.
