Komi came early to school today since there's a bit more silence and peace.
When she arrived at her classroom, she saw Tadano already sitting on his desk.
Komi: Good morning, Tadano-kun.
She said as she sat down on her desk that's next to Tadano.
Komi: You're early today...
Tadano starting shaking.
Komi: 'Already?' What's going on?
Tadano handed Komi a letter, which she could only think of a probability to it as she accepted it.
Komi: 'I-It's probably something so important that it makes him so nervous...'
As she opens it, she got shock of what's written in it.
"The futon flew off. – Tadano Hitohito"
Komi: This...
she started shaking since she wasn't so sure about what it is.
Komi: is it a cipher?
Tadano got shocked, which made Komi's guess wrong.
Komi: W-what is it?
Tadano took out a notebook, already showing the answer to Komi's question.
Tadano: "I heard on TV yesterday that laughter is good for communication. so I thought I'd write one funny joke that I heard recently."
Komi: 'Recently?' Oh... when you're dealing with that kind of joke, it might be a good idea to combine it with the situation.
Tadano had an idea and wrote another joke of his.
"The umbrella's pilled up. – Tadano Hitohito"
He's feeling tense revealing a joke he thought himself.
Komi: 'It's true, it's rainy season...' Ah, not that it wasn't funny at all!
She stand up from her desk, waved both her hands signing no and stopped.
Komi: But without a voice saying it, it's hard to feel the joke.
she made a calm laugh sound so that Tadano could understand a bit.
Tadano stood up from his desk, went in front of the door while still looking at her.
Komi: hmm?
Tadano's behind the door, checking if she's still there.
and then he completely left the room.
Komi didn't understand why he left though.
her phone started to buzz.
Komi: My phone?
She picked it up from her skirt pocket and heard Tadano's voice from it.
Tadano: T-There is a tangerine, on an aluminum can...
Komi: 'Why are you so set on those dad jokes, Tadano-kun?'
Tadano-kun came back.
Tadano: "How was it?"
Komi: 'Can I say it? Should I tell that dad jokes aren't funny?'
Najimi: Hello...
Najimi entered the classroom while using her free hand as a fan.
Najimi: I hate being wet. I don't like this season.
Komi: 'I-I'm saved...'
Najimi stopped right next to Komi.
Najimi: Oh that reminds me...
She showed a note from her skirt pocket that came from Tadano just by reading what's in it.
"The pipe in the ground went with a bang. – Tadano Hitohito"
Najimi: There was a mysterious letter in my locker.
Komi: 'There were more victims!'
*The situation was clearly explained to Najimi.*
Najimi: I see. I understand now. I thought it was a encrypted death threat or something.
Tadano took a reaction to it.
Najimi: Very good, Komi-san. Show him how to do it!
Najimi spinned once and points at Tadano with open hand.
Komi: What? ...what? Eh?
Komi noticed a glow coming from Tadano as she looked at him.
He's moved.
Komi: 'He's expecting something... Do I not have any other option?'
Najimi's now between Komi and Tadano as she listens to her joke with him.
Komi got embarrassed as she said her joke.
Komi: T-The Cat, the cat fell.....
It wasn't as funny as what Najimi expected.
Najimi: I'm disappointed.
Komi-san was at the same level as Tadano-kun.
Komi opened her eyes and saw Tadano's reaction.
"It was incredible..." is what his reaction is already saying.
