Third person's pov
---------------------

The sun was already starting to set but Angela didn't want to go back inside yet. She loved playing outside. She would play for hours and would only go inside when she had to go eat or use the bathroom. She especially loved the garden. The garden was big and spacious, filled with beautiful flowers. And being able to be there every day, made her somewhat feel free.

"Angela!" the voice of a little boy called out. "Angel! Stop running please. You'll get hurt!"

Angela only giggled and continued to run down the small pathway, leading to her secret hideout.

The boy huffed and ran faster. He was a bit older than her, so he was bigger and faster.

Angela saw him nearing her and she panicked that he might catch her and take her back inside. And that's something she didn't want to do. She fastened her pace and looked over her shoulder to see if he was still behind her.

Just when she turned her face, to look behind her, she didn't see the branch that was laying in the middle of the pathway. She tripped and fell over the branch.

Pain shot through her small body as she landed on the ground. She immediately cried out in pain, while holding her right leg, which she had somehow managed to hurt the most.

"Angela!" The boy shouted in horror as he saw her laying on the ground crying, while holding her leg to her chest.

He bend down towards her and tried to see how bad she had hurt herself. "It's okay." he assures the crying girl. "You will be fine, okay? Stop crying Angela." He says softly while turning her face towards him. When she looked up at him through teary eyes, he almost felt his heart break.

He didn't like it when she cried.

"It hurts." She whispers, while softly sobbing."Can I see your leg?" he asks.

She nods and let's go of her leg. He softy brings his hands  down on her knee. "Ow!" she screeched.

"I am sorry Angela." he says sincerely. He didn't mean to hurt her. She sniffles and looks down at her scrapped knee. Blood was slowly starting to come out of the wound and she cried even more.

The boy looked at her knee and quickly took off his sweater. He gently wrapped it around her knee, making sure not to hurt her even more.

When he was done he looked back at the sniffling girl, with tear streaked cheeks. He brought his palm towards her face and rubbed the tears away with his thumb. "Are you okay?" he asked her.

She shook her head and she looked like she was going to cry again. She was greatfull to have him. He was being so gentle and kind to her.

He sighed and carefully made her stand up on one leg. When she stood to her full hight, the boy crouched down in front of her.

"Get on my back, Angela," he says. "I'll carry you back home."

Angela smiled and got onto his back. As he stood up, she tighten her hold around his neck. The boy held the back of her knees, making sure she doesn't fall off.

Halfway through the walk, she fell asleep on his back, with her head tucked in his neck. When he reached the house, he quickly made his way to her room, but was stopped by her father, who was standing near the stairs.

"Angela?" her father's voice rang through the foyer. The boy didn't move any further as her father neared them. He noticed the sweater wrapped around her knee and softly shook her shoulder.
