CHAPTER 35 - Surprise

"So yeah... that's the gist of it and I don't know what to do." Ashido and Jirou were visiting Ochako at her parents' place. She was giving them a brief explanation of what was currently happening in her relationship.

"Well... first of all, do you believe in the rumors?" Jirou asked the girl.

"No, of course not. I never believed them in the first place because the gossip magazines in England always take things too far, but Izuku still called me yesterday to explain and make up after our fight." The brunette explained. "Then Amelia called me this morning and told me Izuku was afraid I was going to feel insecure."

"Did he tell you where they got the photo from? The one with the girl." The pink haired teenager asked her friend. She also knew that Izuku wouldn't cheat but every piece of the puzzle still didn't fit together in her head.

"Yeah. He told me that he was hanging out with Amelia and her friends two days ago. But the gossip magazine had cropped the picture making it look like Izuku was alone with another girl." She explained.

"So, the girl on the photo is a friend of Amelia's?" The girl with earphone jacks asks. She couldn't help but feel like the girl (Naomi) and Izuku seemed to be "too" good friends for people who had met for the first time.

"Apparently, none of them really fit into Amelia's friend group, so they just ended up spending more time with each other. And she's also openly lesbian but for some reason, the gossip magazine wanted to ignore that. Both of them must have felt so disrespected." The brunette sympathized with them.

It was very rude of them to ignore Naomi's sexuality only because they wanted to gain readers. And even if she wasn't lesbian, can't a guy and a girl be friends without their relationship being sexualized? Ochako couldn't help but be frustrated.

Her two friends nodded in agreement. "So, what are you gonna do now?" Jirou asked her. Honestly, Ochako wasn't really sure either. Yes, she had made up with her boyfriend, but was that enough? She just shook her shoulders to respond.

"If I remember correctly... You worked during summer break, right Ocha?" Ashido asks. After the brunette nods, she proceeds to speak. "I think you should surprise Midori by going to England!" She exclaimed.

"That's... actually not a bad idea," Ochako stated as she drifted off to thoughts. "I could buy a plane ticket with the money I saved up and surprise him by going to the palace all on my own."

"Yes! And of course, film every step of the process for me to watch later." Ashido grinned.

"Yeah, no. That won't happen." The teenaged girl smiled back, making Ashido pout.

"Please, mom! You've gotta help me convince dad!" Ochako was practically begging her mom because without her help she could forget about surprising Izuku.

"You know that I like Izuku, but that's not the problem sweetheart." Mrs. Uraraka stated. "I'm just not delighted in the idea of you traveling by yourself." She explained.

"What's all the shouting all about?" Mr. Uraraka asked as he entered the kitchen. Ochako and her mom had been a little loud because of the argument. Seeing as though they barely ever argue, her dad obviously wondered what was happening.

Ochako sighed. "Actually dad... I want to go to England to surprise Izuku. And I know you're probably against it, so I was trying to get mom to help me convince you."
