"Forget about him, you know he's not making you happy. You know I've been the one here this whole time." Kristen gets a DM from MVP Christian Yelich to be in a movie, is this the best thing for her? Or will it destroy her?
I finally made it back out to California and Christian has been nothing but sweet and kind to me since I've been back, something that I never felt with Matthew honestly. I never felt truly loved by him and now being with Christian, it's a whole different ballgame. I have been feeling a little homesick since this is so new to me and I know that he can tell.
We haven't really had that talk yet about what we are, but all the rumors online about us dating and the hate I am getting from those teenage girls who think they are going to get somewhere with Christian, this isn't the life I signed up for and they're getting to me.
There was a knock on my bedroom door and I wiped my face from the tears that had fallen as I was reading all the mean comments. "Come in" I managed to get out and the door opens to Christian standing there with Starbucks in his hand.
"Hey, I brought you some breakfast. Are you okay?" He said once he saw my tear stained face and red cheeks. He set the stuff down on my dresser and came over and sat on the edge of the bed.
"Oh I've just been doing stuff no one should really do, just reading rumors about us on the internet about us dating and then reading all the shit that those stupid teenagers say about me." I said as more tears fell and he sighed and scooped me up so I could sit on his lap and he could hug me.
"You know you shouldn't do it, so why do you?" He asked and I shrugged my shoulders. "It's hard not to when it's all over your Instagram and Twitter. I barely even want to go to the premiere tonight because then it's just going to spark way more rumors and I don't even know what we are since we haven't even talked about it."
He sighed and lifted my head to look at him and I could tell he was super sincere and cared a lot about me and that made me feel a little better. "Well do you want to talk about it?" He asked. "Yes I do want to talk about it. Cause staring at you right now, I want to kiss you so bad."
He smiled and leaned forward and pressed his lips to mine. I put my hands on either side of his face and depend the kiss. I pulled away and rested my forehead against him. "I want you to be mine." He said barely above a whisper. I smiled. "I definitely want to be yours." I said kissing him again.
"So does that mean I can officially call you my girlfriend now?" He asked. "Yes, yes you can." I smiled and so did he and I gave him a hug. "As much as I would love to stay here right now, I really want that Starbucks that you brought, and we have to get downstairs to get ready for the premiere, aren't the people for hair and makeup going to be here soon?" I asked getting up and going to get the Starbucks he brought me.
"Yeah they should be here -" He starts to say and then the doorbell rings. "Right now I guess." He said getting up and kissing the top of my head before going down and letting everyone in. I grabbed all my stuff and went down there and sat in the chair and made small talk with the makeup artist and hair stylist.
Not sure how long I had been sitting there, but soon came Alecia and she was getting ready with me too. After I was all finished, I went with the stylist upstairs and got ready and dressed to head to the premiere.
I got dressed and put on all the accessories and shoes and walked downstairs. "Woah, look at you." Christian said as he helped me down the final couple of stairs. "You look stunning." He said kissing my cheek. "You don't look so bad yourself CY." I said with a laugh. "See this is why I wanted girls, yet I have three boys, I'm not the only one getting all done up here anymore!" Alecia said and I couldn't help but laugh.
We got into the car and the nerves started to set in. "Are you okay?" Christian asked quietly from beside me. "No, I'm nervous as shit and don't know how this is going to go." I said and he brought my hand up to his lips and kissed it. "Everything is going to be fine, just follow my lead." He said and I nodded.
"Do we want to tell people about our relationship or no?" I asked. "Not yet, we are just friends right now still, I want to keep our little secret to ourselves and have some time alone."
We pulled up to the red carpet and all I wanted to do was throw up. I took a deep breath as Christian opened the door to the car and all I saw was flashing lights. I took Christian's hand as he helped me out of the car.
It was hard to shut out everything that the paparazzi was yelling at me so I did my best to just smile and stand next to Christian the whole time. After we took thousands of pictures, we got over to some interviewers for ESPN.
"So Kristen, this was your first movie you've ever been in, what was it like?" The interviewer asked me. "It was incredible. All of the crew was amazing to work with. It was different having cameras follow you around to get your every move, but this is something I would be willing do again honestly. But, I'm glad that I was able to still be myself throughout the whole thing and then getting to work with the guys on the Brewer's and their wives was just amazing they are all so sweet. Christian was also amazing to work with as well, he's such a humble and down to earth kind of guy, so I'm glad that is going to be showcased in the movie as well."
"I know that there are dating rumors going around since the trailer came out, are any of those true?" She asked. "No, Christian and I are super good friends, he's been there for me throughout the entire shooting process, moving out to a different state and a breakup of mine nonetheless, we are just super good friends." I said with a smile, was that believable? I hope so.
"Christian how different was it for you to have cameras follow you everywhere and document your life?" She asked. "Super weird. They were all up in our business and whatnot, but it's to show the world what happens when players go through slumps and the good times throughout the year, they don't see all the work that goes into being a major league player and they also don't get to see what goes on at home with the wives and girlfriends so I wanted to bring Kristen in to show the world what it's really like for them."
After this interview we were ushered into the theater where we were going to watch the movie, most of the guys on the team were there along with their wives, Cody Bellinger was there, Giancarlo Stanton, JD Martinez, Kris Bryant, and a lot of other baseball players as well.
"This was a great turnout." I said turning to look at him. "Yeah all for the two of us." He said with a laugh and his hand brushed against mine and I smiled. I really wanted to hold his hand right now, but we're keeping us a secret and that's kind of fun to do.
The movie came and went and it was honestly great. Everyone couldn't stop raving about how cute of a couple we are and how well we work together. If they only knew. We went to the after party, which was just at Christian's house with a few family members and friends. I went upstairs and changed into some comfier clothes than the dress I wore.
I looked in the mirror and smiled. I was very content with how my life is turning out.
