I wake up to feather-like kisses on my belly. I gently open my eyes to be graced with the most beautiful grey eyes I have ever seen. I can never get tired of admiring these beautiful eyes of his. He stops kissing my stomach and graces those lips of his with mine.

"Good morning, honey," Ethan says, releasing me from our kiss. "How was your sleep?"

"Alhamdulilah, it was fine; what is the time?" I say, sitting up

"It's noon; everyone would be here around three. You still have enough time to get ready."

"Alright, I will take a shower and join you downstairs."

"I will be waiting, my love," Ethan says, kissing my forehead and walks out.

I carefully stand up from the bed and walk to the bathroom. I can't believe a year has gone by since Ethan and I got married. It still feels like yesterday he told me he converted to Islam. That day is one of the happiest days of my life. A lot has happened in our lives in the past year. Both Ethan and I have been working hard to make a name for ourselves. Ethan and I have created many excellent apps and software that we hope one day will make it in the world. I won't lie; it has not been easy, but it's all worth it.

I finish taking a shower and walk out of the bathroom to get ready for today's event. I put on a beautiful yellow sundress with a pair of black sandals and a white hijab. I walk downstairs to meet Ethan and to find something to eat before the event starts. I walk into the kitchen to find Ethan making my favourite sandwich. I slowly walk over to him and wrap my arms around him. His lovely cologne goes through my nostrils. He has the one I love most on. I gently place a little kiss on the side of his neck.

"Hi, honey," I say, resting my head on his back.

"Hello, my love, I hope you are hungry. I made your favourite."

"Yes, I am, and I can't wait to taste it."

"Shall we?" Ethan says, turning around to face me and wraps his arms around me

"Yes," I say, walking us to the stool in the kitchen.

"Here you go," Ethan says, placing a plate of chicken sandwiches in front of me while he gently rubs my stomach and whispers words to it.

It's almost three o'clock, and everyone should be arriving soon. I am making a few last-minute arrangements for the event before everyone gets here. The doorbell goes off; I slowly walk over to open the door. My little sister graces me with her presence.

"As salamu alaykum sis," Ghadah says while hugging me.

"Wa alaykum salam, ghadah, I can't believe you are the first one to get here. You are always late," I say, hugging her back.

"Am not," She says, smiling

"No one else is here," I say, confused

"I came first, but I had to go back to the car to get the present," My father says, coming up behind my sister.

"Oh, As salamu alaykum dad," I say, hugging him.

"Wa alaykum salam dear, how are you doing," He says, hugging me back

"I am doing fine; come inside, and where is mom?" I say, walking them to the backyard where we have the event

"She went to get a few things that she feels you would need. She should be here any minute," Dad says

"Alright"

Everyone arrived on time, and the event is going fantastic. I am so happy everyone was able to make it with their busy schedule. I miss my family a lot with me living here in the states. Ethan's family is also here for the event, and his mom said she wouldn't miss this for the world. I walk over to Amina and Khloe by the food table.

"How are you guys doing?" I say, picking up a doughnut to eat

"We are doing good, and I have to say the food is amazing," Khloe says with a mouth full of food.

"Thank you."

"Adina, there is something I want to talk to you about," Amina says

"I am all ears," I say, wondering what she has to say

"I will give you guys some time alone," Khloe says and walks away.

"I want to apologize again for almost making you lose one of the most amazing person in your life."

"Amina, it's fine; it's all in the past."

"I know a year has gone by since I was against you and Ethan being together, but I still feel guilty. I can't imagine if you listened to me and lost the love of your life. I am very sorry for not giving you guys a chance and praying for things to turn out better for you guys."

"Amina, you don't have to apologize to me. You did what any good friend would do, and I am more than grateful to Allah for blessing me with you in my life. Thank you because who knows, maybe without your warnings, things could not have happened this amazing for me."

"You don't have to thank me, and I will always have your back whenever you need me."

"I am more than grateful for that," I say, pulling her into a hug.

"Do you mind me borrowing Adina for a minute"? Mr. Federico says over my shoulders.

"Of course not; she is all yours," Amina says, releasing me from our embrace.

"How are you, father-in-law," I say, smiling while turning to face him.

"I am doing fine, my dear, and how are you doing?"

"We are both doing great."

"Adina, I wanted to talk to you about something."

"I am all ears."

"I don't know how many times I might have said it, but you are the best thing that ever happened to my family. Seeing the bright smile on my son's face after so many years makes me want to shed tears of joy. You are truly an amazing woman. You also helped me open my eyes to see the monster I was in love with for so many years makes me feel more grateful to God that Ethan met you. Thank you, Adina," He says with tiny tears in his eyes.

"You are going to make me cry. You don't have to thank me because Ethan is also one of the most amazing things that ever happened to me. I love him so much, and he makes me very happy," I say, wiping away the tiny teardrop that escaped my eyes.

"I am happy he does," He says with a soft smile.

"Me too," I say, smiling back.

"Alright, everyone garter around. The moment we have all been waiting for has come. My beautiful wife, if you don't mind, please come over and join me here." Ethan says while standing beside a big box. I walk over to Ethan and stand beside him. He takes my hand in his and places a little kiss on my palm.

"I would like to thank everyone for coming here today. This is Adina and I's first baby, and we couldn't be happier to be finding out the gender with everyone today," Ethan says while gently rubbing my baby bump.

Ethan and I both place our hands on the box filled with balloons with the colour blue or pink that says if it's a girl or a boy. I have been praying hard for a boy, but Ethan wants a girl. He said he wants her to look as beautiful as I do. I also pray, most importantly, for our baby to be safe and healthy.

"So, without wasting any more time. Here is the gender of our baby," I say, opening the box to reveal blue and pink balloons.

"I don't understand why both blue and pink balloons are inside," I say, a bit confused.

"I think it means we are having twins, my love," Ethan says with eyes full of joy and happiness like I have never seen before

"Oh my God," I say with tears of joy drilling down my face.

"And I believe it's a boy and a girl," Ethan says, smiling.

"Allahu Akbar, I am so happy, my love," I say, pulling Ethan into a hug.

"I couldn't be happier, Mia Regina," Ethan says, hugging me close.

"I love you," I say, kissing Ethan with a lot of joyful tears staining my face.

"I love you too," Ethan says, kissing me with so much happiness and joy that he fills in his heart.
