"Good morning po, Sister Annie!" Bati ko sa madreng taga-pangasiwa ng bahay ampunan. Nagmano ako sa kanya at pinakilala si Kyle.
"Sister, si Kyle po pala..." I'm hesistant if I should introduce him as my husband dahil hindi ko alam baka magalit sya.
"My friend." Ngiti ko kay Sister.
"Kyle, this is Sister Annie, the Mother Superior of the orphanage." Sister Annie warmly welcomed Kyle. Nginitian sya ni Kyle at nagmano.
We went inside at si Kyle ang nagdala ng mga pinamili namin. Pero kanina ay inirapan nya ako pag talikod ni Sister. Problema nya?
"So this is the reason why you're working for an extra?" He asked as we walk inside.
"Well, yes."
"You should've just told me, you know."
"Hindi naman kailangan, I can manage."
Aangal pa sana sya pero nakita kami ng mga bata at tumakbo sila papunta samin while calling my name.
"Ate Zoey, namiss ka po namin!"
"Oo nga po, ang tagal nyo din pong hindi nakabisita." Malungkot nilang sabi. I pouted and told them that I've been busy last month kaya ganoon.
"Ate, sino po sya?" Tanong ni Buboy. I almost forgot that Kyle's with me.
"Ahm, kids, this is kuya Kyle, ate Zoey's friend." Pakilala ko sa kanya at todo ngiti naman ang mga bata dahil may bagong bisita sila bukod sa akin.
"Hi, kamusta kayo?" Medyo naiilang pa na sabi ni Kyle. I guess he's not fond of kids.
Matapos magkamustahan ay pinuntahan kami ni Sister Annie with a worried face.
"Bakit po?"
"Naku, si Melba kasi ay biglang inubo ngayong umaga at hindi maipagluluto ang mga bata. Umalis pa naman ngayon ang katulong nya para umuwi sa kanila."
"Hala..." pano yan? Eh hindi din ako marunong magluto. Edi magugutom ang mga bata? Magpapanic na sana ako pero biglang may nagsalita sa likod ko.
"We can do that for you, I can cook." Kyle said at parang liwanag na mula sa langit ay napangiti si Sister.
"Nako, salamat, ijo! Hulog ka ng langit!"
Sister guided us where the kitchen is. Hindi pa din naaayos ang mga grocery dahil nga may sakit daw ang cook nila. Sobramg short staffed kasi nila at hindi rin sapat ang budget kaya rin ako nagvolunteer na magsponsor sa kanila.
Iniwan kami doon ni Sister pagkatapos nya kaming bigyan ng aprons. Kyle wore the black apron and didn't I mention that he's so handsome in his casual outfit today?
