[ Seokjin's pov]
"You couldn't do it could you?" my mother asked as she sipped on her wine.
"Would you kill your mate?" I growled.
"All I am saying is to stick by your word." "Don't wish her dead then be the reason she isn't." she told me.
"She did die and it made me realise how much I needed her."
"Seokjin." she warned. Her eyes flashed golden brown.
"I don't give a fuck if she is human. I'll protect her." I said with clenched fists.
"For how long?"
I watched as she stood up and walked up to me.
"You'll eventually give up and so it would be better to stop now." she said.
"What will you do when she does from age? she questioned.
"She's my mate. I'll turn her." I mumbled keeping my anger in.
She could sense my anger.
"Do you know how much energy and time it takes to look after a newborn vampire? Besides, there's a low chance of her survival." she told me.
"You should've just left her in those woods."
I bit down on my lip causing my fangs to stab my bottom lip.
I was about to grab her by the throat when she caught my arm.
"I am your mother." she said in a low growl.
Her eyes stayed their normal colour because she knew how to control her anger.
"Lower your eyes." she ordered.
I clenched my teeth.
"Obey me." she ordered.
I ripped my arm out of hers and looked away. My eyes must have flashed red.
"I can't stop you from fulfilling the mate connection, but I won't let my son get ruined because of a human."
"That's strange because I'm the one ruining her." I said through gritted teeth.
She glared at me before disappearing.
I paused when I heard Yeona's heartbeat accelerate. She must be awake.
I used my speed to get to my room.
She was still sleeping.
I didn't regret what I did to her. There was no point when I was just going to do it again. I had used one of my fathers trick against humans. That's why she thought she was paralysed. It had probably disappeared by now so she was free.
Not that she'll be able to move after what I did I her.
I caressed her cheek and dragged the tip of my fingers down her neck.
Those nights she dreamt of me weren't dreams.
I was controlling her mind.
It was the only way I could communicate with her without wanting her.
But there was another vampire in her dream. Her past ones.
