Imagine going out with Ashton.

You guys have been going out for a few years now, you met in high school, so you've been together before 5SOS was made.

It was amazing watching both the band and the boys grow both in themselves and in their talent and music... You knew what was coming when it came to dating someone in a band, and both you and Ashton promised to make it work.

And you managed to, for a while. Until it began to get too hard for you both; what with Ashton always travelling if not the country, then the world with the band, you rarely being able to go with them with work and such, which then led to you both not having as much time for each other....and to then hear random rumours about Ashton cheating on you while he was away which upset you because you knew he would never do that.

So you both decided that it was for the best to break up, maybe try again later on in the future.
But the breakup hits Ashton hard. When the boys are away from home shortly after your breakup, whenever 5SOS weren't performing, Ashton spent most of his time in his bunk on the tour bus looking through the old photos of you both, opening your chat message on his phone thinking of what to say to you.

One night when the other boys are in their bunks also: Michael under Ashton, Luke opposite Ashton with Calum underneath; Ashton is again, on his phone, looking through your profiles to see what you've been up to - when really he's just anxious to see if you've moved on and gotten a new boyfriend or not.

Ashton jumps when his curtain is suddenly pulled open, revealing Luke pulling the curtain open with his foot, with him looking over at Ashton from his bunk.

Ashton laughs, "Damn you and your long legs!"

Luke puts his finger to his lips, signalling that Michael and Calum are asleep as he whispers, "Ashton, what are you doing? It's like 3am..."

Ashton shrugs, "Just looking at what's going on back home..."

There's a moment of silence until Luke puts the pieces together and asks, "How you holding up?"

Ashton closes down his phone, looking at his lock screen which is a picture of you and him before looking back at Luke faking a smile and giving a thumbs up sighing shortly after, "Mm... I'm alright...just missing Y/N"
