“Ah yes thank you…it’s okay…I can do it myself…thank you…”

They had him surrounded from all sides.

“I see…yes…I do understand how it works…thank you…”

“Prince, please don’t move around so much…Master ordered us to help you” the attendants voiced feeling distressed with how much Seokjin was squirming as thy tried to dress him up for travelling.

He had denied to wear the soldiers’ uniform, arguing with the trueblood that he wasn’t Kleon’s soldier.

So, Taehyung had no other way but to begrudgingly give in to let him choose what he wanted to wear, although he had ensured to get him thick jackets and padded clothing to keep him warm enough while they would travel through freezing waters.

“Jin-ah…just let them dress you up, it will be quicker…” Ha-Yoon spoke trying to keep the concerns still blazing in her head down, there were a thousand worries and yet she feared the worst, although she knew Taehyung must have considered it too…if they trap the omega there, claiming their prince back now that Kleon denied to acknowledge the treaty, the trueblood will probably lay a massacre in trying to claim his mate.

But she believed letting them go together was probably the best option…no matter what, they would protect each other.

And as if on cue the alpha burst in through the doors putting a stop to all the ruckus inside and to see his omega standing in the middle of it looking like a lost pup as he stared at him red-faced.

“Go away! I’m not dressed yet!” He tried to grab at his robe however not finding it nearby tried to cover himself with the heavy overcoat hanging near so that he could hide his half-naked body which was only covered by his trousers.

The Commander sighed, shaking his head to himself as he made his way to Jin.

“Omegas and their silly habit of nit-picking” he grumbled to himself.

The attendants moved away silently as Taehyung asked them to hand him the tan-leathered scabbard he had gotten specifically prepared for the omega to carry his sword effectively.

“Did I not tell you to ask if you needed help?” He spoke swinging the straps around the omega’s waist, locking it in position with proficient hands “it’ll do you good not to be so stubborn all the time.” His gaze was almost intimidating against his mates’ honey orbs, and he intentionally pulled the belt tighter, jerking Jin closer to himself “you should remember I’m not your attendant omega…expecting me to dress you in your armour every damn time…huh?”

Jin had stopped breathing, frozen in his place as he let Taehyung aid him and hastily pulled his vest down his head when the alpha gestured towards it.

“You do not need to carry all your weapons for now, I’ll have those taken to the ship with mine” he spoke slipping the chainmail over Jin’s vest, a lightweight protective covering to keep him safe from any surprise blade wound.

Taehyung was aware that he was probably being overprotective given the fact that Jin could heal any and every form of wound but never hurts to be a little extra cautious…especially when he knew Jin was doubly in danger, one because of him being an omega who people believed deserved punishment for betraying the King and the being the sole cause for this war, the other was for being his mate.

By the time he had ensured Jin was properly dressed, with his sword sheathed in the scabbard on his left and looked up with pride beaming in his eyes to see how majestic his mate looked, he realised something looked different. Jin looked absolutely breath-taking as ever, his princely aura suddenly visible as the royal blue and gold of his coat made his skin glow.
