"I've been getting way too cynical lately... Hanging out with Excitement sure has left an effect on me." Chitsume thinks, chuckling to no one in particular but himself.
"And there you have it!! This year, it's these three! However, take heed, folks!" All Might announces, startling Chitsume almost making him fall off.
"There was a possibility for everyone in this arena to stand there! It's just as you saw with your very own eyes, ladies and gentlemen! They competed! And boosted each other up! Everyone climbing ever higher, advancing farther!! The next generation of heroes will surely sprout the seeds planted this day! And to that sentiment, I'll add one more thing.."
"Everybody say it with me now!! Aaaannddddd.......GREAT WORK!!" He screams out, as everyone screamed out 'Plus Ultra!'
Chitsume may not actually like the phrase "Plus Ultra" all that much, but come on, that was obviously the perfect moment to scream it out.
As the event finally ended, all the students changed back and went back to their classrooms. Aizawa said they had two days off which was nice, Chitsume was feeling quite better, just a bit hot.
As Chitsume walked back to his apartment, a familiar voice pops in.
"Heya!" Excitement greets.
"Excitement! It's been way too long..." Chitsume says, a small pout on his face.
"What? Were you missing little ol me?"
"S-So what if I was! I get lonely sometimes too..."
"Oho? Getting more honest now, are we? How cute~"
"Shush your mouth! Or beak... or whatever you have!"
"But anyway, why don't ya try therapy?"
"Therapy? You're bringing this up again? I can control my quirk just fine as is! Have you no faith in me?! Plus you guys are going to be there for me anyway when I get all sad so it's okay!"
"...We don't know what's going to happen in the future, kid. It's better to be safe than sorry. We don't want life to get any sh*ttier than it already is."
"..I-I... I'll do it soon. I promise so please don't ever say something like that again! I don't want any more people leaving than there already have..." Chitsume answers, stumbling toward Excitement, gripping them as he trembled.
