"I heard it Levi!"
"Heard what?"
"They said you stole Milo's spot on purpose and also chose me just to shove me in his face. I don't roll like that."
"I don't either, alright?"
"Let's just act as if we never were together," I said quickly. Maybe the single life is better suited for me.
Levi got stiff at my words, but he knew I needed some time to think this over.
"Down with broken for now, I guess," he smiled.

Sooner than later, I got out of Levi's car, "Thanks for the ride."
"Tell your mom and dad I said hey. I'd like to meet them sometime."
I rolled my eyes, "Sure."
Before I could close the door, he spoke again, "You know everything they said about me using you is false, right?"
I sighed and got back into the car and he blinked.
I told myself I wouldn't doubt it anymore, yet here I was being a contradiction.
All of this fuss was so unnecessary. It's what I signed up for when I said yes to him in the first place.
He's taught me to speak up more than anyone's ever had, and I actually felt heard. Even if he was a bad guy deep down, I had to at least thank him for bringing the best out of me.
"I'm trusting you with my heart Levi, and you know how sensitive it can be. I don't believe it'd be in my blood to forgive you if you hurt me though. Do you get that?"
He nodded, even though he wanted to kiss all of this conversation away.
"You've been so gentle with me Levi, and I think it's what I like about you most. You're not like anyone else. You're always honest, and with hearing what I heard earlier...I'm just so unsure, because I can't read you the way you read me."
He held back the tears that were daring to form in his eyes, "I understand."
I laid my head against his shoulder and took one of his hands off his lap, twirling the ring around his index finger.
"I had trouble with trust," I whispered to him, "but you helped me trust again."
He only listened, watching as I traced his veins.
"So I ask again, is it true Levi?"
"No, it never was, and it never will be."
"Okay," I sniffed, and he reached over me to grab the kleenexes out of his compartment, placing a tissue to my nose.
"Blow," he told me as he hugged me into his side.
I blew, and he chuckled a little at the elephant noise.
He kissed my head and wiped my tears, "I will never do anything like that to you, understand me?"
I looked up at him, and his soft expression vanished.
"Don't you ever say that shit again, Amora."
I gulped.
"Don't even think it either."
I nodded.
"Good girl. Now head inside. I'm not trying to leave a bad impression."
That's why he wanted to take me home on time? To impress my parents?!
"Yes, sir," I said teasingly, rolling my eyes.
"Roll your eyes at me one more time and see what happens."
I stuck my tongue out at him, rolling my eyes again, and before I could get out of the car, he grabbed me back and started tickling me.
"Stop it Levi!" I laughed, kicking my legs.
He smiled at me, "Alright, alright. I'll let you breathe."
I panted, and my cheeks hurt. I had never smiled so much before. My face was a weak muscle basically, except when it came to eating food.
I was about to get out again, but he held my hand. He always had to make sure of one thing.
"You okay?" he asked.
I nodded, "I'm okay."

I was laying in bed, writing in my diary as I had Levi on speaker phone.
"Pimple Popper is such a disgusting show. I literally don't understand how people eat and watch that at the same time," I heard him say.
In all honesty, I never took in a word Levi said this late at night. I would just listen to his sleepy voice and imagine him next to me.
He started brushing his teeth and there was a couple minutes of silence before I heard the ruffling of sheets.
I could tell he buried his face in his pillow because he sounded too far away.
"Amora. Collaaab with me tomorrow pleasseeee."
I laughed at his little whining, "Okay, whatever."
I started to decorate Levi's name in red hearts, outlining them in black. Underneath it, I wrote in cursive, 'Down with anything as long as I'm with you.'
"Princess..." he groaned.
"I'm still here," I smiled.
"I love you so fucking much," he mumbled.
I tried to hold in a laugh. He was most definitely falling asleep.
"Do you think our kids will look more like me or you?"
"Kids!? Levi, go to sleep."
I could hear him lightly begin to snore, "I'm so...serious..."
I felt my cheeks heat up, "More like me, I think."
"Mmhh...of course...cause you're beautiful..."
I sat there and listened to him go on and on until the speaker was filled with his light breathing.
He was such a mess. Both of us were, but together we made something complete.
"Goodnight, Levi."
