It had been a whole day since Y/n's arrival at the house, their older siblings helped her with studying just to realize she didn't need that much help, Emma and Norman had become close friends with her quickly, Ray kept his distance from her, thinking it would go past her unnoticedly.

"Y/n? Are you alright?" Emma asked Y/n while holding the ball they were playing with, Y/n snaps out of it before nodding startled, "Y-yeah! Sorry about that, but..." She apologizes sheepishly, "Is... Is Ray alright?" She asks worriedly while glancing at the tree said boy was laying against with his nose under a book. "Now that you mention it, he has been more quiet than usual today..." Norman responds, making Y/n sulk slightly.

"D-Don't worry though! I'm sure it has nothing to do with you being here at all, he's just having an off day or something similar most likely!" Emma tries to reassure the (H/c) haired girl, she nods in reply and they continued playing together.

The next day after their daily test it was the same, Ray kept his distance from the newcomer and avoided confrontation, Y/n's goal was to pass the test with flying colors, go out, and find Ray. She was filled with determination to achieve those goals.

Norman had a small headache so he went to Isabella during their free time, leaving the two girls to play with themselves under the late summer weather. "I'll go look if anyone else wants to play tag with us, wanna come?" Emma proposes, "It's alright, I'll wait for you here." Y/n answers with a smile before Emma went in her search. Ray was nowhere to be seen.

Y/n looked over to the forest around her and spotted a  small forget-me-not flower next to a tree, 'Forget-me-nots don't bloom in this time of the year...' She stood up from the rock she was sitting on and walked deeper into the forest, her destination unknown to even herself.

She walked and walked, walking past various bushes and trees until she was interrupted, "You shouldn't walk through the forest alone or you'll get lost." Ray comments as he stood up from laying against a tree with a book on hand, scaring the girl for a second. "R-Right! I guess I must have gotten carried away..." She murmurs, he stares at her for a few seconds. "You are Ray right--?" She asks yet gets interrupted.

"Is it true?" Ray questions, "Pardon?" "What Mom said, do you really not remember your life before you came here?" He clears up, Y/n looks down at the floor. "No, sorry..." She responds truthfully, "I can't remember anything about my actual life outside other than my name and educational-knowledge..." She explains, Ray nods in understanding. 'So she can't tell me about what it's like outside... neither can she clear up my memories of that tunnel...' Ray thought, his questions about the house only piling up.

"Hey, this is kinda embarrassing but... do you mind accompanying me? I'll probably get lost here..." She asks with a sheepish smile, Ray nods and they started walking once again. Y/n was leading while Ray just followed and stared at the petite girl. They came across a small meadow, multiple golden splendors stood on the green grass, "That's weird, they weren't here before." Ray comments to spot her kneeling next to the flowers and talking to someone.

"So yeah... It was that kind of day." She concludes before taking a good look at the flora around her. "Let's go, we shouldn't keep Emma waiting." Y/n mentions as she stood up and turned to look at Ray, "Hey...What'd they say?" Ray asks her curiously, despite being a little mature for his age, he was still only a child.

" 'Good work today, guys'  " She quotes before looking back at the flowers and then back at him, "Kidding. They didn't say a word. But you know..... Ah... never mind. It's not like you'd believe me after all." She adds with a small giggle at the end. Ray looks at the flowers for a few seconds while making a 'hm', "...Probably not." He replies before turning back, taking a few steps to leave yet stopping. "Tell me anyway."
