I'm so sorry that it took me so long to post! i was suffering from a major case of writer's block on how to transition to this part, so this is actually a pretty crappy chapter... Don't murder me!!!! I couldn't help it and if you don't like this one I promise, it SHOULD get better.

Rozelynn's

Nick was great, but he refused to leave me alone for the first couple of days. We finally got to go to my home and I started the painful process of cleaning and packing, Nick, Isaac, and Ravyn crashed at my place in the spare rooms. Ravyn and Isaac were enrolled in school and Nick went back to work at the coffee shop. I kept trudging through life and soon the pack went back to Nick's apartment. I wanted to cry, I had fallen for Nickolai Spencer like an idiot...I had fallen for a wolf, for someone who had no interests in me other than as a pathetic damsel in distress! Azalea hung out with me a few times a week and I still wasn't sure if I was addicted to coffee or to Nick's presence. My best friend, the guy I'm in love with, my alpha wolf, my life....Nickolai Spencer.

I had to get over him, I was pathetic! I thought in disgust, I chunked the plastic cup in the sink and went to answer the soft insistent rap on the front door. Greg Avicenna would be showing up shortly if that wasn't him at the door right now. We had to go over the plans for the newest fundraiser. I opened the door with an annoyed sigh but stopped short when I saw the shaggy black hair and golden caramel eyes set in an angular masculine face. "Nick?" He smiled sadly.

"How are you? I came to check on you." I shrugged and pushed the door further opened. He caught sight of the stacked boxes and frowned. "Rozelynn, you shouldn't have to do this on your own! When's the last time you talked with Azalea, or left the house for that matter?" He groaned.

"I went to the store just yesterday and I've been going to school!" I defended myself. "Greg's coming over and we're going over plans for the school fundraiser..." I trailed off. "Umm, Nick, could you stay until he leaves? I know I have no right to impose on you like this but.."

"Does he make you feel uncomfortable?" Nick asked suddenly.

"Otherwise I wouldn't be asking you to stay..." I admitted with a soft groan of defeat. He was yet again rescuing me from a ridiculous notion! He chuckled and ruffled my hair.

"Have you eaten? I'll fix dinner, I can cook...." I laughed and shoved him towards the kitchen. He leered at me as he sauntered off causing me to sigh heavily. I grinned and answered the hesitant knock on the door, the Charger in the drive-way was a dead giveaway that I had company...Greg stood on the porch his soft brunette hair in a disarray. I invited him in, and looked over my shoulder to see a very sexy and impatient werewolf leaning against the doorframe. His golden caramel eyes focused on Greg and he grinned wickedly stretching so that his biceps bulged slightly. I choked back my laughter at the wide-eyed panic in Greg's eyes.

"Who is he?" Greg demanded.

"Who? Oh Nick, he's my self appointed babysitter." I grinned at Nick and turned back to Greg. "Come on, the projects upstairs." I admitted.

"I'm going to run down to see Adrian, you want the usual? It'll take about 5 minutes at most." Nick called. I grinned and lead Greg to my room, he followed and I settled on the edge of my queen-sized bed leaving the desk and chair to him. He watched me out of the corner of his eyes as I swept my hair back and explained my research to him. He shrugged and nearly jumped out of his skin when my door swung opened admitting Nick.

"Double chocolate chip frappe with a shot of caramel and a shot of mocha." He held up a cup and leaned cockily against the door frame. I shot to my feet and danced to his side, I held out my hand for the coffee. "Uh-uh...I'm always the one fixing your coffee, now you have to say 'Please'." He grinned wickedly flashing teeth in a creepy way.

"Fine...will you please give me the coffee?" I asked softly pouting lightly.

"Ugh! You can have it. Don't give me that face!" He groaned and handed me the coffee. I laughed and smoothed down my skirt. "I'll go cook." He fixed a hard stare on Greg and winked at me before he left.

"What was that about?" Greg demanded yet again.

"Nickolai supplies me with my coffee fix and I help him understand his niece." I grinned.

"Why, what's wrong with her?"

"We're women." I laughed at the shocked expression on his face. "I'm serious, he has a fifteen year old niece and he doesn't want to go buy tampons for her, would you?" He shook his head quickly. "He's pretty much adopted me as his little sister." I shrugged. He leaned in then and kissed me on the lips. "Greg!" I put my hand on his chest and pushed him back.

"Come on, Rozelynn, don't play hard to get...I know you want me as much as I want you." He groaned and pushed me back onto the bed. I struggled but he got my body pinned beneath his. He kissed me sloppily.

"Greg! No!" I tried to get him off of me as he ripped open the buttons of my blouse. I started crying as I fought him off. I heard the door slam back against the wall and Nick wrenched Greg off of me sending him flying into the full-length mirror across the room. In one leap he was standing over Greg growling his whole body vibrating. I buried my face in my pillows and sobbed.
