Authors pov:
numb, this is what he felt. his body trembling ,swellen red eyes looking no where but fixed at the floor, with quietness he was weeping, his heart clenched thinking about how tae must have struggled alone in the massive penthouse, how he must have wanted someone to embrace him, console him, assure him that he's fine, he's save,how he held the throbbing pain, he cried harder disappointed within himself
"s-sorry cupcake, I'm s-sorry" baek sobbed harder, hiding his face in hand.
it was just him alone in the hall way of hospital and his little baby brother under observation of doctor, alone.
how bad baek wanted to go inside with taehyung, wanted nothing but to hold his hand and take all of youngers suffering, his pain, everything that makes him sad.
sobbed got louder when taehyung lifeless face flashed before him, how happy he was just few hours before, while driving to reach as soon as possible to taehyung, how his eyes caught on ice cream stall and a wide smile spread on his lips thinking about how much taehyung loves them, and that's made him buy almost all flavors of ice cream, he was so happy to spend some time with his brother which he doesn't gets in university.
but everything things turn into opposite, smile turned into furrowns and tears, giggles turns into mourns, when taehyungs pale body came into his view
the vision of the field made his blood run cold, he felt his soul has left his body.
Flashback:
"T-TAE"
his knees buckled up made him fall on floor, with trembling hands, he pulled taehyung on his lap,
"t-tae,baby------w-wake up" he choked on his sobb,patting taes face, he couldn't feel taehyung heart beat it was almost like there none, his face had turned pale, breathing was shallow
"TAE"
he yelled from top of his lung, shaking tae a bit to bring his sense back, he hugged his brother close to his heart, he can't lose him, he can't.
"S-OMEBODY PL-EA-SE HELP MY BABY PL-EASE"
he cried helplessly, he had to save him and that made him snapp from losing his mind completely.
he had to be sane enough enough to call for help and with trembling hand he dialed the number to call ambulance, and soon taehyung was brought into hospital
end of flashback
Baek didn't realize when Dr. Jung came and stood by his side,bringing him back from his horrible, painful flash.
"baekhyun" Dr. Jung held his shoulder,on which he looked up with swellen eyes
"uncle---h-how is my tae"?
he asked in hoarsy voice, wanted to stand on his feet but Dr. Jung didn't let him
"baek" he deep sighs and sat besides baekhyun
"He's not fine,baek" Dr. Jung aprissed him about taehyungs conditions, everything that scared the life out from baeks body.after hearing everything, baek couldn't stop himself but to broke into loud cry.
"I don't want to keep you in dark baek, I'll advice you to be ready for test results and afterwards treatment, and tae should know about his condition too, don't hide anything from him" Dr jung adviced while caressing baeks back.
"can I----can I see him now at least"? he asked with hope wich broke into pieces when Dr. Jung denied
"he's under observation in ICU, his body in lack of oxygen and because of bradycardia his conditions----" Dr. Jung sighed
