chapter 51: The light

@normal POV@
You wake up from the bad dream turned good. You feel multiple people hugging you. You lift your head to see Dream and Nightmare clinging to you around the waist. Ink and Jazzy had their heads laying on your stomach. Blue and Red each had your legs and Red was nuzzling his face against your thigh in his sleep. You chuckle softly and look around. Turns out your head had been resting on Sans' chest. The rest of your friends were sleeping close by. You look and see Edge asleep on the couch. Laying on top of him was Black. Edge had his arms wrapped around the other and you start fangirling.
There was a slight pull and you turn to see Dream awake. "Hey." He says softly. You smile at him.
"Hey yourself. You spent the night again?"
"Yeah, couldn't leave you."Dream says as Nightmare yawns and wakes up.
"We could leave our favorite human." He says sleepily.
"You guys are dorks." You say. You feel Blue shift and he looks up at you. You smile at him. "Morning Blue."
He grumbles softly before cuddling back against you and falls asleep again.
"Well… that's new." Dream says.
"Hm?" You look at him confused. 
"Blue never goes back to sleep. Like ever. I'll get up to use the bathroom when he stays over and find him running around at like 6:30 in the morning." Nightmare says. You giggle softly at this. You hear a groaning from the couch to see Blackberry awake. Edge was waking up too.
"Morning boys." You say and they both look at you. Black had a look of confusion while Edge looked relatively relieved. Black quickly gets off of Edge and they both blush. Dream snickers at that. "Hey now, it's pretty easy to tell that you two are a couple. Just gotta know what to look for." Their blushes deepen. "Just you know, if you start fucking keep it down." They look at you horrified. You start laughing your ass off. Loudly at that. The boys who were still sleeping woke up at your ringing laughter.
"The hell is goin on?" Red growls and you laugh harder. It felt good to laugh like that. It feels like forever.
"G-guys let me up! I-I don't know h-how much more I c-can take." They all get off you and you quickly run to the bathroom before you can pee yourself. When you come back you're still snickering. Black looks annoyed before getting up and leaving. You start laughing your ass off again. 
"You're having too much fun with this." Nightmare says.
"N-nah!" You manage to giggle out.
"Well you seem to be having lots of fun." Rus says. You look to him before tackle hugging him.
"Heya, sorry for worrying you guys." You let him go and give each of your friends a tackle hug. They all laugh at this. You felt…. Happy 
Your parents told you to be happy. Even if it was a dream it felt so real. You look to see Nightmare looking at you with a huge smile on his face. You have an idea before jumping up and grab his arm. "Come with me." You say and drag him up to your room.
"W-whats going on?" He asks.
"That parasite." He looks shocked but nods. "Do you think an overwhelming amount of positive feelings directed at it would kill it?" You ask. He looks shocked for a moment.
"I mean it probably would. It is its weakness after all but…."
"But?"
"Its attached to my soul….. for monsters that's not something that we show to others often…." He says with a deep blush. You grab his hands and look him dead in the eyes.
"But if it could make it so you never go back to that…. Will you let me try?" You plead with him and his blush takes over his whole skull.
"F-fine….. J-just dont do anything w-weird…." You push him onto your bed and he looks at you surprised. 
"Let's see it." He nods slightly and his soul floats out of his chest. It was a white inverted heart with lavender magic around it. Though you see a black stripe going through it. "Is that it?" He nods. You gently cup his soul and he stiffens.
"W-what……"
"Relax, I won't hurt you. I just need a better look." You pull his soul closer to your face. The parasite moves farther away from you. It really didn't like you. "So this little thing is the root of all our problems with you." You sigh softly and hold his soul close to your chest. You focus on sending the most pure, happiest emotions to him. All the love you felt as a friend, all the happiness He makes you feel. Every good emotion you can think of. You hear him gasp and he puts a pillow over his face. You can tell that this is really painful for him but you're almost done. "J-just a little more……" you whisper then send one more powerful blast of positive feeling to him and he screams in pain. You know that the parasite is gone though. You let go of his soul and hug him as the others burst into the room.
"What's going on?!" Dream yells as you start whispering words to calm down Nightmare. He then sees his brother's soul. It was free of the parasite. "How the?...."
"Easy Nightmare, I'm sorry that hurt you so much." You say to him as you hug him close to you. You gently press his face to your neck as he sobs out of both pain and relief. "You're alright. I got you." 
Everyone is staring as Nightmare's soul goes back to him. "How did you do that?" Dream asks you. You continue to hug Nightmare as you look to his brother. 
"It was an easy solution. Just blast the thing with positive feelings. Do so until there was no trace of it left. I didn't realize it would hurt him though….. I'm sorry for that." Nightmare shakes his head as he starts to relax again. 
"No it's a good thing you did." Sans says. You look at him confused.
"None of us would have been able to do that. Especially not with seeing how much pain it was causing him." Ink says.
"I had to though. It was the only thing that would work…." You said and notice that Nightmare was asleep. 
"We know." Dream says before coming over and hugging you both. "Thank you for helping him yet again."
"Hes my friend. I cant just leave him to suffer. I can't leave any of you to suffer." All of your friends look at you and smile. You smile one of the purest smiles you ever have back at them.
