chapter 7: new experiences

You walk into school on Monday feeling extremely anxious. You were scared. Suddenly you're pulled into someone. You look up to see Dream. He has a big smile on his face. 
"Morning (Y/N)! Let me walk you to your locker."
"Morning Dream." You smile at him and relax slightly. Him along with the rest of your new friends had a very calming effect on you. "A walk with you? How can I say no?" You giggle and walk with him. He slings his arm over your shoulder and keeps you close. 
"Sorry I couldn't visit yesterday, I had a family thing."
"Its fine, I know people have other things and that I'm not the center of the multiverse." You both laugh at this as you reach your locker. "Where are the others at today?" 
"Sans is with his Papyrus, Red is probably up on the roof. Rus got pulled away by his Undyne and Blue… well Ink wanted him for something…." you flinch and drop your textbook. "(Y/N), tell me, has Ink hurt you?
You look at him shocked. You had no idea how to respond. I mean no he never beat on you like Error or Nightmare but….. he did hurt you emotionally. What do you say?
"Hey hey, calm down. There's no need to panic. Nothing will happen to you while I'm here." He hugs you and runs his phalanges through your hair. You tentatively hug him back.
"I….. I mean….. h-he hasn't physically hurt me….." you say. Dream hugs you closer to him. He didn't want his new friend to be upset. He tries to soothe your soul with his magic and you relax slightly. 
"Has he said anything to hurt you or get you hurt? I won't tell the others." You hesitate a moment before nodding slightly. "Thank you for telling me. I promise, when you're around me, you're safe." You look up at him and he brushes away tears that you didn't realize had fallen. 
"Alright Dream… I'll trust you. Just please don't tell the others." You pull away and grab your textbook off the floor.
"Dream! There you are! We've been looking for you!" You hear Ink yell while running up to him. You shrink away from Ink who has effectively pushed between the two of you. You close your locker and Blue jumps you. You squeak as you fall to the floor with Blue hugging you to death.
"(Y/N)! I MISSED YOU SO MUCH! IT FEELS LIKE IT'S BEEN FOREVER SINCE WE'VE SEEN EACH OTHER!" Blue dramatically says as you chuckle. 
"You were over with your brother yesterday." You chuckle softly.
"Since when have you three gotten so chummy?" You hear Ink say. You tense up and look at him with fear filled eyes. 
"Since last week. She had this nasty bruise on her jaw so I started checking up on her. Blue came with me." 
"THAT'S RIGHT! SHE'S REALLY NICE!" You smile slightly at Blue as he helped you up.
"Thanks Blue." You say in a small voice. 
"Shall we head to class?" Dream said to you and you nod. Ink looks pissed as Dream wraps his arm around your waist and you go to Language class. During class a note it expertly flung onto your desk. You glance around and put it in your pocket to read later. After class you start walking to your next class and read the note. "Stay away from the Stars." You drop it and hurry to your next class. Little did you know that Blue had been coming over to talk to you and saw what had happened. He goes over and picks up the note before frowning. You go through your classes and going from class to class you usually walk with Sans Rus or Red and talk about random things. Sans would always be holding your hand or have an arm wrapped around you. None of the people who would hurt you were able to get near you and you were happy. 
You were going to the library. You'd gone to your locker to put things away without the others. You hurry to the library avoiding anyone else and bump into someone coming out. As you start to fall they catch you and hold you to their chest.
"Hey, don't go fallin for me yet Dove." You look up and see a tall skeleton with cracks in his skull like how Gaster has. You backup from him blushing and stuttering. 
"I-I… g-gosh I'm sorry! I-I was in a hurry and not watching where I was g-going!"
"Now now, no need to apologize. It was worth runnin into you." He puts a finger under your chin and lift your face to look you in the eye. Suddenly the library door slams open and you hear a growl.
"G! Leave my sweetheart the hell alone!" Red shouted. You jump at his outburst and "G" looks at him bored. Just then what he said clicks with you and you glare at him.
"EXCUSE YOU?!" You yell and Red looks surprised. "YOURS? LIKE HELL! I DON'T BELONG TO ANYONE!" The boys look shocked at you. Sans, Rus and Blue come out of the library at your shouting. "Whatever. Thank you for the save G. I'm (Y/N). I hope to see you around since I have to tutor this idiot and two of my friends." You walk to the library and smack shoulders with Red. Then grab the hood of his jacket to drag him inside. You could hear G laughing as you did so.
@Blue POV@ *Lunch that day*
I was sitting with Dream and Ink at lunch. I fiddled with the note in my pocket, the one (Y/N) dropped. It was written in Ink's messy writing. Why would he write that to my new friend? Suddenly Ink is waving his hand in front of my face. I blink a couple times only to see Ink and Dream looking slightly worried. 
"You okay there, Blue?" Ink asks. "You were spacing out pretty badly."
"AH YES. SORRY ABOUT THAT. I WAS JUST THINKING." I say with a smile. I mean it's not a lie. "WHAT WERE YOU SAYING?"
"I said we should all hang out sometime. Maybe go to the movies. We could go watch a superhero one." Ink chirped happily. How can he act like nothing's been going on?
"Sounds like fun. You know us, we're the Star Sanses!" Dream said with a big smile. It didn't reach his eyes though. Pink catches my eye and I turn my head to see (Y/N) along with Sans, who was draped over her shoulders, Red and Pappy. She was safe with them around her.
"YEAH THE MOVIES WOULD BE FUN." I say while watching them. The four of them are all talking and laughing. People had been talking all day. The three most popular monsters in school hanging around the least popular human. That would go around fast especially when one completely abandons his original friend group for her.
"What are you thinking about Blue?" Ink asks.
"ITS NICE TO SEE MY BROTHER HAS A NEW FRIEND." I replied. I notice Ink roll his eyes.
"Yeah, I know,  nice to see her up and about again." Dream says. "Hey Ink, just wondering, you have any idea how she tripped down all those stairs? I mean people do like to tell you about things."
"No clue, I mean she is clumsy so she could have tripped on her own feet." Ink says before brightening up. "Hey I'll be back in a few. I see Error there!" He jumps up and runs to his boyfriend.
"Dream. I have something to show you. You can't tell Ink though." I say quietly. He looks puzzled but nods. I take out the note and hand it to him. "I saw (Y/N) drop that after first period…" I say sadly.
He hands the note back to me. "Show the others later. He's coming back." I grab the note and put it back in my pocket. My thoughts were swimming the rest of the lunch hour.
*after school*
I walk into the library and see Pappy, Sans and Red at their usual table. I walk over and pull up a chair. 
"Hey bro. You don't get tutoring  what's going on?" Pappy said and I put the note on the table after opening it.
"This." I say keeping quiet. "(Y/N) dropped it this morning…." 
I hear Sans and Pappy inhale sharply. Looking up I see Red look at it then stand up growling and slamming the note down. "Imma gonna get her." He walks off and I look down. 
"I told Dream already but-"
"EXCUSE YOU?!" Was that (Y/N) yelling? We all get up and walk to the door. "YOURS? LIKE HELL! I DON'T BELONG TO ANYONE!" She was really mad. She never swore or raised her voice. "Whatever. Thank you for the save G. I'm (Y/N). I hope to see you around since I have to tour this idiot and two of my friends." She walks to Red and smacked her shoulder with his before dragging him into the library. She goes to the table and I look at Sans concerned. He teleports to his seat and grabs the note. "What was that?"
@Normal POV@
"What was that?" I asked and let Red go. You sit in your normal seat then Blue sits next to you. He leans over and hugs you. You look at him surprised but hug him back. 
"Can I get your phone number? I'd like to give it to Dream too." He says with starry eyes. 
"Sure. Just a sec, I'll give it to you all in case you need me when I'm not around." You take out a piece of paper and write it down. They pass it around and put it in their phones. 
"So, starshine, what are we up to today?" Sans asks. You act like you're thinking for a moment before smiling.
"History. We're focusing on the original universe right now. Sans, why don't you explain it?" He sighs and starts where he finds Frisk coming out of the ruins. 
After about an hour you guys all finish with tutoring. You get up and turn to leave and Red grabs your wrist. "Can we talk?" He asks meekly and you look at him surprised. 
"Of course we can." 
"Okay then, close your eyes and hold on tightly." You do what he says. Suddenly the floor drops out from under you and you feel sick. Just as quickly though it's back under you and you feel a breeze. "You can open your eyes and let go now." You do both and look around. You're on the roof.
"What the…. how?"
"Magic…" he mumbles and you look at him. He has his hood pulled up and is looking at the floor. You go to ask him what was wrong but he starts speaking. "Look, I'm sorry bout earlier…. I just…… I was worried bout ya….. G is….. well he's a fuck boy….. I don't want him takin advantage of ya…… so please….. say you'll forgive me……" he says with a sad voice. You stand there shocked. He thought you were mad at him? You walk closer to him and he backs up. He was never one to be in close contact with others.
"Red, look at me." He lifts his head and you see red tears in his eye sockets. You open  your arms like you're asking for a hug. "Does it look like I'm mad? I just would like you to think about what you're saying." He blinks back the tears before pulling you into a tight hug. You hug him back. "I'm not mad at you, I promise. Thanks for looking out for me." He hugs you tighter and you stay that way for a couple minutes. "We should get going." You take his hand and walk down to the ground level.
