chapter 10: Awakening

@Red POV@
Wait did he say Error? Suddenly the room is lit up in orange. I look over to see Rus' right eye lit up with magic. 
"I thought he wasn't allowed to use that magic anymore." He says in a tight voice. Am I missing something?
"I mean yeah, he's not supposed ta but we all know he does stuff he wants." I say and my phone gives a text notification. I pull out my phone. 
Nights: is Dream there? He turned off his phone. 
Me: yea hes here. Not up ta talkin.
Nights: what's wrong my brother?
Me: well theres nothin like your new friend gettin beat half to death.
Nights: meaning?
Me: were you hangin with Error at lunch?
Nights: yeah, he left alone for around 10 minutes though.
Me: k. Later.
Nights: red! Answer my question!
I turn off my phone. "Apparently Error ran off earlier when hangin with his friends." I say and Dream looks at me. 
"How do you know that?..." he says while there's tears in his eyes.
"Nightmare was just askin bout you…. he seems worri-" suddenly sweetheart starts whimper softly and shaking her head back and forth. Dream scoots up closer to her face.
"Hey, (Y/N), you're okay. Nothing's hurting you." He starts feeding positive feelings to your soul. Sans pulls out his phone.
"Dad…. yeah she's not doing well….. well she seems upset…. Dream is laying on the positive feelings to soothe thing but it's not helping…. okay….." he ends the call and Gaster teleports into the room.
"Everyone but Dream back off." He says and we all go to the wall with a huge couch on it. He brings up her soul and Dream continues his thing. Her soul was a bright green, brighter than any other shade I'd seen before, it makes sense, she had nothing but kindness in her soul. But there were dark likes like a forest green through like it was scabbed over. I look at Gaster and it almost seems like two people are standing at his shoulders helping him mend it into stability. Suddenly she groans and opens her eyes. 
@Normal POV@
Groaning I open my eyes. For a moment I thought I saw mom and dad over Gaster's shoulders. I roll my head to the side and see a teary eyed Dream beside me. I close my eyes at all the light attacking my eyes. ".....too much light….." I mumble. Footsteps from across the room runs and the light on your eyelids dim.
"(Y/N) we need to talk." You hear Gaster say you open your eyes. "You have to be completely honest with me okay?
"Eh…. sure everything hurts though…." 
"Sans can you go get one of the nurses and tell them to bring her some painkillers?"
"Of course dad." He comes over and gives you a quick hug before leaving the room.
"Some help sitting up?..." Dream gently helps you sit up. "How'd I get here?... wasn't I at school?....."
"Rus brought you here. You were in a very…. vulnerable state…. you have many broken bones, enough that I can't knit them together to get you out of here tonight…. but how did that happen?" You stiffen remembering what had happened at the school and got terrified. 
"Hey hey, theres no need to be scared." Dream hugs you and you start to calm down some and lean against him.
"I…. I went to the bathroom like I said…. I needed to calm down some cause I was upset….." you look up at Dream with pleading eyes. You wanted to make sure he wasn't upset. He smiles at you and you look down. You see his scarf around your neck, Blue's was in your hand and Red's jacket was draped over you. Sans comes back in and sits next to you. He isn't wearing his hoodie either.
"Heya starshine. How're you feeling?
"Been worse… but yeah…. you guys want the truth about what happened, right?" You notice Papyrus and another Skeleton that looks like Gaster, who was holding Blue back from pouncing at you. The others were your friends everyone nods. "Well I heard the door lock…. like the lock for when lockdowns happen…. so I turned around and saw……." you look down. Do you dare to tell them what happened?
"It was Error, right?...." Blue asks in a small voice. You look at him surprised.
"How did you know?"
"Those strings he uses…." Blue looks away.
"Error used them on Blue when we were little." Rus said. "It wasn't very fun…."
"Ah…. Well yeah…. he used those strings to tie me up….. told me not to come back to school….. and when he was throwing me around h-he put bone attacks on the walls and floor….. the strings wrapped around me so tightly that I couldn't call for help…." Sans sits on your opposite side and hugs you too. "What are you doing?...."
"Making a Sans-wich." He says and you start laughing. You were a sucker for bad puns after all.
"Sans that was bad." Blue says. He walks to the foot of your bed and sits next to your legs.and hugs them. Red goes to your other side and hugs you like Blue, only being more careful of your hurt leg.
"Wrong Classic. She's a double Sans-wich." Papyrus and Blue groan loudly but you laugh more. You feel safe with your friends. You yawn softly and nuzzle your face into Dream's chest.
"Are you getting sleepy?" Dream asks. You nod and lean into him. "Want us to go?"
"....no….. safe…." you grab Sans' shirt too. "You guys are safe…."
Gaster chuckles softly. "Well we can bring some cots in for the boys so they can stay the night." And that's how you fell asleep, surrounded by your friends.
