"Honestly why did you even agree to talk to her? You're such a dumbass."

Donghyuck snapped his hands towards the girl who was currently walking towards him with the medical kit in hand. She didn't even acknowledge his glare as she sat down on the chair beside the bed, right in front of him.

The 2 stayed quiet as Naeun took out the desinfectant from the medical kit along with a cotton ball. She got everything ready and began leaning in, but her eyes fluttered to his first. "It's going to sting." Then the placed the cotton against his lip.

Donghyuck tensed up at the pain from the side of bottom lip. He wanted to flinch away, but Naeun placed a strong grip on the back of his neck so he couldn't move. But he was soon distracted from the sting as he stared down at the girl's cold and focused face. He gulped from the resemblance that she held to her twin sister. And although they were identical, they had completely different personalities. A string tugged at the boy's heart and forced himself to look away.

And although he thought the gesture went unnoticed, Naeun was completely aware of all of it. She could see right through him.

"It's done." The girl mumbled, taking the cotton away and Donghyuck could finally breathe normally. "Is there anywhere else that's badly hurt? Stomach perhaps?"

He was immediately flustered, but Naeun didn't even waver at her own bold claim. Donghyuck shook his head, earning himself a nod from the girl before she stood up. She disappeared for a second and he heard her shuffling through her bag before there was suddenly a can flying right at his face. The boy's fast reflexes saved him from breaking his nose as he caught it with one hand.

"You could have just given to me like a normal person, not tried to break my nose."

Naeun smirked slightly as she sat back down in her previous spot and she opened her own can. The 2 of them silently sipped on the tasty beverage, and for some reason it wasn't awkward at all. Both of them enjoyed the comfort of silence.

"Aren't your friends going to be worried you're gone for so long?" Donghyuck initiated conversation. Naeun was staring out the window at the school field full of laughing students. Upon hearing the question, she smiled lightly

"They're Haeun's friends, not mine. I just don't fit into their group and it gets very awkward at times." The girl replied bitterly. Donghyuck examined her carefully.

"You can always hang out with us you know."

"Wow, didn't expect such a polite invitation from Lee Donghyuck himself." Naeun raised an eyebrow as she glanced in his direction. He scoffed before staring back.

"I'm a year older than you, stay within your boundaries."

"Fine Dong." She continued teasing and Donghyuck just sighed, knowing that he wouldn't win this battle. Silence took over yet again as the girl was immersed in her own thoughts while he was busy observing her.

"Dong."

"Hm?"

"Let's skip school."

"Where is she..." Haeun mumbled to herself in a slight worry as she checked her phone yet again. Almost an entire period had passed yet no sight of her twin sister. She wasn't responding to texts either.

Honestly, the girl shouldn't be worried. Naeun was completely capable of fighting and wouldn't get entangled with dangerous people. But with all the things going on with Chuwol lately, Haeun always felt like there was something wrong.

Finally, the bell rang announcing the end of geography and a majority of the students shot up to go talk to their friends. Haeun just sighed, looking down at her phone again before deciding to go get a drink from her locker.

As she opened the compartment, she noticed an irregularity. A white envelope with pink edges. Confused, the girl took it into both hands, analyzing it carefully. It was stuck closed by a yellow sticker with an adorable puppy on it. As she began carefully trying to unstick it in an attempt to open the envelope, it was suddenly snatched from her hands.

"Hey!" She exclaimed and looked to the side, finding none other than Jisung standing there with the paper in hand. He ripped it open, destroying the sticker and took out the letter.

"Give it back!" Haeun insisted and jumped at him, but he was holding the letter high up, out of reach. Jisung began reading the quite short letter as the girl began jumping in an attempt to snatch the letter back. He frowned as he came to the end and to Haeun's surprise, ripped it right into 2.

He did not like the content of that letter. Whoever the soft-spoken guy was, he wouldn't sway Haeun that easily.

"That was my letter!" The girl whined, but Jisung was too entangled in his own fury after the words on that damn letter kept flooding his head. But he composed himself enough to smirk towards her.

"Honestly it was bad, so just don't worry about it. Besides, I'm obviously saving the guy's ass." Jisung teased and Haeun immediately began protesting. But instead of listening, the boy turned around and crumbled the paper in his hands. He then threw the ball right out the open window.

"What the actual hell?!" Haeun ran up to the window frame and looked down into the bushes below. She then looked back at Jisung with a glare. "This isn't funny."

"Oh, trust me, it is."

The girl then stomped in his direction, crossing her hands as she came to a halt in front of him. "Go get it and bring it back. It better be stuck back together. Or else..."

"Or else?" Jisung asked in a playful tone and leaned down to get to the same level as her, their faces now inches apart. He held a confident smirk as he watched Haeun blink a couple of times, her cheeks turning a pale shade of pink. She herself was highly flustered by the proximity, but refused to let it show.

That's why she smacked his arm and the boy owed loudly and stepped back.

"I'm letting you off this time." Haeun hissed but it didn't seem intimidating at all. She then turned on her heel and began walking towards her desk. Jisung couldn't help but chuckle watching her get cutely embarassed.
