After another body was found, Jungkook found himself in Taehyung's bedroom, pacing back and forth at the foot of his bed and rambling on about how he felt unsafe and was scared for the others.

Taehyung was sat on his bed, listening to the boy intently as he watched him pace back and forth. It was nearly midnight and the boy had knocked at his door, anxiety piling in his chest and unable to sleep through it.

He was nice enough to let Jungkook come in and talk away until Taehyung didn't want to hear it anymore, but the blond couldn't say anything, really. He too was scared and didn't know what else to do.

He thought by having people at posts, watching over the territory would help, but it didn't. Whoever was doing this knew what they were doing, and it only intrigued Taehyung as to how they knew their way around here.

His own thoughts began to swallow him as the ravenette boy kept rambling on about whatever his heart desired, voicing out his fears, not even realizing Taehyung had zoned out and was no longer listening to him.

Consumed in his own thoughts, he kept asking questions to himself, wondering if he could ever find the answers to them. Nothing made sense. This whole thing didn't make any sense. None of it, and it only confused Taehyung more.

"Are you even listening to me?" Jungkook had thrown a pillow at Taehyung, the soft object hitting his head and causing it to hit the headboard behind him with a light thud.

"Ow!" Taehyung yelped, rubbing the spot on the back of his head that had collided with the hard surface behind him, looking over at Jungkook, who had his hands on his hips and a sharp look etched across his features. "Of course I'm listening to you!"

"Oh really?" Jungkook crossed his arms over his chest as he shifted all his weight onto one foot, glaring at the older, "Then what kind of puppy do I want?"

Taehyung had stopped rubbing the back of his head and froze at the question. He didn't know Jungkook had gone from talking about his fears to talking about puppies in the span of twenty minutes.

"A—Uh . . . Beagle?" He sounded unsure—he was unsure, having no idea what kind of puppy the younger had been yammering on about this whole time while Taehyung was worrying about the bigger picture here.

Before Taehyung could even react, another pillow was thrown at him, hitting his head and causing him to hit the headboard again with a louder thud this time. The elder hissed as he rubbed the back of his head, all while Jungkook glared at him with crossed arms.

"What the hell was that for?!" Taehyung gaped, removing the pillows from his lap and setting them on the mattress beside his thigh, rubbing the back of his head as he gave the youngest a sharp look.

"I wasn't talking about puppies! Why would I be yammering on about puppies when lives are hanging in the balance?!" Jungkook whisper shouted, not wanting to wake anybody up who was asleep in the other rooms down the hall.

"I'm sorry, okay?!" Taehyung said in the same tone of voice as the younger, rubbing the back of his head and feeling a small knot form there where he had hit it against the surface behind him. "I was just thinking and kinda got lost in my thoughts."

A sigh was exhaled from Jungkook's lungs as he nodded a little before taking a seat on the mattress beside Taehyung, the room falling quiet. He didn't know what to say, the both of them worrying about the same thing but only reacting to it differently.

"What were you thinking about?" He looked over, voice softer and scowl gone as he gazed at the elder beside him. Taehyung only shrugged, unsure of where to start with his own thoughts. Everything was a mess in his head, and there was no way to tell where the beginning or the end was.
