Jungkook stood in front of the pack house, back facing his home as his members stood behind him. Hoseok, Yoongi and Namjoon were placed beside him, their eyes looking over the large field they were sadly saying goodbye to.

Namjoon had glanced over at the alpha, noticing the hesitation within his eyes as he kept his gaze locked onto the field he had grown up in. If everything went according to plan, this would be their last day here, and that alone was enough for Jungkook to feel his heart shatter.

This had been his home for twenty-two years, and now there was this possibility he would have to say goodbye. Everyone would be saying goodbye to their home. The skies were cloudy, the mood gloomy as Jungkook looked over his shoulder and slowly turned so he was now facing the pack house.

Everyone was standing behind him, waiting for his next command. He was nervous, but overall disheartened as he gave it one last look before he sucked in a sharp breath and turned away from his home. Bags were in their hands, thrown over their shoulders, or placed on the grass beside their feet.

"Let's go," He mumbled to Hoseok, who nodded before looking over his shoulder and flicked his head towards the direction they began heading in. The walk to Midnight Rose didn't take very long, maneuvering their way through the thick woods that separated the two territories.

The walk there was filled with silence, the sounds of leaves crunching under their feet as they walked through the forest was the only thing heard. The children began complaining about how they were tired and how the walk was too long, and the sounds of their whines had Jungkook's heart hurting.

He looked over and saw their parents try to comfort them, unable to carry the kids in their arms since they were already full with bags as they encouraged the young ones to continue on for just a little bit longer. He had to look away, feeling his heart tug at the sad faces and tears gathering in the children's' eyes.

Hoseok, Yoongi, and Namjoon were ahead of the rest of the pack, walking through the forest with bags in their hands and straps thrown over their shoulders as they walked beside the young ravenette. Hoseok glanced over and saw the way Jungkook seemed to be in a slight haze.

He couldn't really blame him, knowing his ability to check out during depressing times was something Jungkook was good at. He often wondered what the alpha was thinking about when he was no longer paying attention to what was going on around him, not wanting to see or feel the sad moments like now.

He had nudged him with his elbow, though, drawing his attention back to reality as the youngest looked over with a parted mouth and round eyes. "You doing okay?" He questioned, concern laced within his voice as he watched Jungkook hesitantly nod.

"Yeah. I'm fine," He replied, forcing a smile as they continued to walk, hoping Hoseok would believe him and they would be able to drop the topic and focus on the path ahead of them.

Hoseok understood that Jungkook was beginning to regret his decision on their plan, just by the way he was acting now. They all knew this next step would be hard, but it was what Jungkook wanted so they were in no place to tell him otherwise.

"You know you can talk to me, right?" He assured the boy, who only nodded and kept that same forced smile on his lips as he kept his gaze ahead of him. Hoseok didn't push it any further, sharing a glance with Yoongi who had only shrugged his shoulders lamely with a shake of his head, he too uncertain of what to say.

The rest of the way was silent, or what Jungkook could've remembered. He had been in a haze most of the trip, not paying much attention to the pack but he was still alert. His mind kept wandering off, his thoughts a mess and he didn't know where to start.

It wasn't long before they were standing just right outside Midnight Rose's territory, and Jungkook could see Taehyung just standing right outside the pack house. Arms were folded over his chest as he stood on the last step on the porch, eyes glued to the much smaller pack.

Jungkook gulped, mouth parted as he inhaled deeply to try and calm his nerves. This was it, and there was no turning back now. He was the first to step onto the territory, Hoseok deciding to not wait for his command as he followed behind him, Yoongi and Namjoon doing the same.

The rest of the pack, however, stayed behind, not daring to move another step without the command of their alpha. Jungkook quickly glanced over his shoulder, giving the others a single nod before he turned and faced Taehyung and his pack, and stepped deeper onto the territory.

Taehyung had stepped off the last step, arms still crossed over his broad chest as he slowly made his way to the raven-haired alpha, both deciding to meet halfway. The pair stopped until they were only inches away from one another, gazes locked and silence surrounding them.

"Didn't think you were actually going to show up," The blond alpha had stated with a faint smirk on his face, the smirk that Jungkook was growing disgusted with every time he saw it.

"And why is that?" The younger mused with a tilt of his head, fingers clutching the strap to his bag as his dark bangs fell in front of his eyes when a gentle breeze brushed by.

Taehyung noticed this, hand itching to brush the strands of hair from his eyes as his wolf whimpered within the connection. He had to force himself to stay still and not be bothered by the sight in front of him as he said, "You don't seem like the type to keep their promises."

This had Jungkook raising a brow at the other, scoffing in offense as he shifted all his weight onto his right foot. "Glad to know you're already assuming shit about me that you don't even know," He mumbled under his breath.

A deep chuckle rumbled from Taehyung's throat, knowing damn well he was already getting under the younger's skin. It wasn't hard to get Jungkook fired up and ready to fight back, and this had Taehyung wondering just how far he could push the alpha.
