After a nice long visit the sorceress headed back home, huggingthe empress goodbye. It had to be past mid-afternoon, she rang for her apprentice.
Moments later the girl walked into the room.
"Yes miss?" She said.
"Any clients come in today?"
"Yes a few but I took care of it." She explained.
"You're too kind." The empress stated.
"That's why I'm here."
"I thank the goddess for that one."
"I can't imagine my life anywhere else." Amberosia said.
"Neither could I." She said to the girl.
"You're too nice, miss." She said with sincerity in her dark brown eyes.
"Only some of the time." Ralvania told her, filling up the mug again.
After a moment and a long sip of the brew he empress looked the girl in the eye.
"So I'll not have to worry you'll run off with the vampire and get married?" She said glaring at her.
Amberosia jerked in surprise and forced the coffee back down her throat before she'd have spat it out.
"Goddess no, we're spiritually compatable miss. That's all." She said, defensive.
"I was kidding." She said as the girl blushed, staring at her coffee cup as if it were the most fascinating thing she's ever seen.
