This is the time when I feel weak the most.
I can't make myself disappear. I can't see anything from an impossible distance. I can't enhance my body parts or anything.
Compared to them, I am completely normal.
Hindi ako katulad nilang nagiging pula ang mga mata sa tuwing ginagamit ang eye ability nila. Natural na pula ang mga mata ko at wala akong eye ability. Hindi ko alam kung paano ako lalaban.
"From Immortal City, Number Six."
Nevertheless, I won't give up. I can't be a weakling forever. I may be normal but I won't back down. Everyone's fighting and being mundane is not an excuse.
"From Immortal City, Number—"
"Oh, for fuck's sake, Kaoru. Hindi mo kailangang ulitin. Alam ko na."
"Alam mo na?" I don't know if he's genuinely surprised—"Wow!"—or pretending to be genuinely surprised. "Ang galing mo talaga, C. Pano mo nalaman na napapangitan ako sa pangalan ng school natin?"
I guessed I'm the one who's genuinely surprised. "What are you talking about?"
"The school, princess," he scoffs. "I'm talking about the school. Pay attention."
"I don't have time to play, Kaoru."
Aalis na sana ako pero hinarangan niya ako.
"Sino ba naman kasing magpapangalan ng Immortal City sa school diba?" he says, standing in front of me.
"Get out of the way, Kaoru," I say in a wary voice. But he blocks me again, completely ignoring what I said.
"I mean—our school's not even immortal. Does immortality apply to inanimate objects?"
"Kaoru, you are blocking the way." I try to slip past him but he's obviously restraining me.
"No way," his eyes widen like he's suddenly discovered something. "Could it be that our school's actually the city?" he mumbles.
"Kaoru!"
"I'm sorry, Celestine."
Everything went black. I didn't know what happened next.
