The boat moved back to the port around midnight. I was sad the party was over, but relieved. I hadn't talked to Noah the rest of the night, but whenever I saw him, I couldn't help but watch him. I knew I still loved him, even when he cheated on me with Kayla.

I stepped off and headed to the limo with Hannah right next to me. Everyone who wasn't in the limo before the party left in their own cars and that included Kayla. She was too embarassed to see me anymore so she had her parents pick her up instead. Noah was the last to get in the limo. As he stepped in our eyes met, but instantly I looked away. He sat on the end and didn't talk as we drove back.

"Ugh," Bailey muttered. "Look at him. Pathetic, right?"

Andrea nodded. "Man, what a jerk. You broke up with him, right?" She asked, raising her eyebrows at me. I didn't look at her, I kept my eyes focused on my hands. Before I answered I looked up at him briefly, he was sitting silently as all his football friends were going crazy beside him.

"I don't want to talk about it." I finally answered. Andrea shrugged and talked to them, while I became like Noah, silent and alone. While the girls were caught up in their drama about who the best dancer was at the party, Noah slipped next to me.

"Hey," he said, sitting next to me on the little bit of the seat that was left. I scooted down so he could be more comfortable.

"Hey," I responded. There was a depressed tone in my voice, which made him bite his lip from guilt. Maybe it was wrong to ignore him for the rest of the party after apologizing on the deck.

"I don't know what to say," I commented. He shrugged a little.

"Me neither."

I sat there and leaned my back against the seat. "It's hurting me to see you like this, you know. I'm in so much pain."

"I'm so sorry, Keaton. It's hurting me that I cheated on you and now I might never be able to be your boyfriend again," he muttered. I swallowed. Was he mad at me?

I took a deep breath. He looked at me and his face softened.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to sound conceited." He sighed. "I'm just not in the greatest mood right now."

I sighed. "I wouldn't be either."

He chuckled a bit. "You would never hurt someone like I have, Keaton. You're too good. You-you're perfect."

I snorted. "I'm anything but perfect."

"Okay, fine. You're flawless."

"No, I'm not. I make mistakes, too, Noah."

"But have you ever cheated on someone who you love so much? Who you love more than anyone else?" he asked me.

I was stunned. "You love me more than your parents?" I joked.

"Sometimes. If my parents are being annoying," he laughed. "Which happens quite often, really."

I couldn't help but smile and giggle. "Wow."

We sat in silence. One by one everyone got dropped off at their house. Hannah, Kayla, Andrea, and Bailey were dropped at Hannah's house. I saw all their cars on the driveway. Now, it was just me and Noah.

"I'm really sorry," he said, looking down. I just looked at my fingernails and picked at them.

"I still love you too much to let you go, you know," he whispered, trying to kiss my cheek. I pushed him back almost immediately.
