Chapter 28 Wake Up We Have A Mission

“Diana,” I shook her shoulder. “Diana honey wake up. We have to go. Wake up please.” I shake her shoulder lightly to wake her.

“What...?” she tries to roll over toward the to wall away from me in her sleep, so I shake her shoulder lightly again. “What is it mother?” She is still asleep.

“Diana, honey we must get up and get dressed we have a mission to get to, honey,” She looks so peaceful when she is asleep, so precious. “Diana, please wake up!” My Goddess you are so difficult when you are overtired, daughter mine! Finally!” She opens her eyes and looks up at me.

“Mother? What is it? It is still dark out. Is there a problem?” She finally sits up on the edge of her bed rubbing the sleep from her eyes then looks back up to me.

“Honey, we have been called out on a mission. We have to get dressed and get down stairs to go, can you please get up and get dressed in your mission clothes I laid out for you, please?” I pointed to the clothes I set out for her to wear at the foot of her bed. “Please hurry while I go change myself,” I rush off to change into my all black outfit I normally wear. It is easier to blend into the background with these dark colors which is why I had my daughters made in a really dark dark silver color seeing as she refuses to wear anything, but silver—It is the closest to black I could get and still be silver—she liked it. I did get myself a nice pair of elbow length black gloves to go with my outfit and a pair for both Icka and Lady Gaia too.

Once we were both dressed I had Diana flash us to the sitting room where everyone was waiting on us. They had already packed Diana and I a pair of small backpacks filled with instant foods and powdered blood enough for a weeks stay out in the field. If need be, one of us can easily flash back here to refill all the backpacks for a longer stay—this is so much easier than having to pack up the old jets with everything we might need, and then forgetting something then having to return for a second trip—less time consuming also.

“Is everyone ready? Packs set? Weapons and ammo? We are not sure what we may be getting ourselves into out there, let's hope for the best. Diana, stay by your mother this mission please.” Bavo instructed. “All join arms. Lady Gaia, if you please?” We flashed as a group out to the scene of the fighting, landing about a mile away from the actual problem area.

“So, what do we have here, Bavo?” I asked. We were not downstairs to be filled in being late getting down to the sitting room after waking Diana up, and both of us getting dressed after helping her with her boots and a few knives she didn't want to carry till I insisted she carry them.

“We are about a mile away at the present the information from the High Command was sketchy at best. Just that there was some sort of big disturbance going on in the area, and that there were a number of exposures of our kind to the locals recently. Now the humans are up at arms out fighting and killing any, and all that they find to be different from them—” 'This sounds like it could take us a long time we are going to have to be very careful here.' I mind spoke to Diana. 'OK. Mother I will stay close to you.'

“—Our job is to quell this disturbance at all cost and to try to wipe the minds of the villagers if at all possible.”

“Do you know how hard that will be if this is as big as we think it is? Wiping the mind of more than a few humans could take weeks to do I hope you understand?” Lady Gaia informed Bavo.

“I understand you concern, Lady Gaia. truly I do, but what choice do we have? It is that or what? Any other ideas? Anyone?” Bavo looked around to each of us, no one seemed to have anything to say. “I thought not, so we go with Plan A till it doesn't work then hopefully someone comes up with a Plan B.” He looked doubtful. “Lets go scout out the area just be careful and stick together in teams of two guys.” We flashed closer to the problem area.
