Chapter 1 – Anxious

I opened my eyes. As they steadily came into focus, I noticed how extensively vivid everything was. Yet somewhat hazy. So surreal. Although at the same time it felt so real, so intensified, and so exaggerated.

I was outside, standing on what appeared to be wooden decking. I was surrounded by an emerald green forest, beneath a temperamental layer of glum overcast clouds, shadowing the sun from reaching all that lay beneath it. I could smell the fresh dewy pine wood breeze, hear the gentle rustling of the leaves in the distance as the wind danced amongst them, and the peaceful chirping and singing of the wild birds nearby.

At the exact moment that I blinked, I was shoved right up against what appeared to be a wooden cabin wall. My breath caught in my throat and I frantically scanned my view to see what had forced me here.

To much surprise, an alluring man was pressed quite firmly against me, his hands on my waist, looking down at my neck. I was starting to freak now, but deep down knew that he wouldn't dare to hurt me. I didn't know who he was or why I knew this; I just had an inclination. I had a vibe that this man that had cornered me here, played an incredibly significant role in my momentary dreamlike life, a role that deep down inside of me, made my very soul melt.

I tried my hardest to contain my fear, and hold my confidence in him. I just stared up at his beautiful face, which was merely just a blur; too hazy to recognise him or make out his exact features, but enough to know that he was mesmerizingly stunning. I found myself biting down on my lip, trying hard not to let my fear overcome me, not to let this predator-like man know that I had felt threatened by him.

He seductively brushed away the hair from the right side of my neck, revealing my erratically pulsating vein. I looked up into his black eyes, not being able to make sense of anything else that had surrounded them, noticing just how hard it was for him to resist me. But I had trust in him, I knew that he wouldn't do it - but I wasn't sure what it was that I'd feared him to do, that he was restraining himself to do. Despite this though, I could tell that he was exceptionally desperate, almost as if he wanted to devour me, to swallow me whole, as if trying to quench some sort of inhumane thirst that hadn't been quenched in years.

He leaned even closer and closer towards my neck, his oddly cool breath sending shivers down my spine, as he seductively brushed his lips across my bare skin. It sounded ridiculous to be thinking this right now, but I was almost enjoying the dangerous hold that he had me trapped in. I felt an indescribable pull towards him, longing for his touch. I trailed my palms up his perfectly muscled chest and wrapped my hands around his neck, running my fingers through his hair and pulling him in even closer towards me.

I didn't know what the heck I was doing. It was as if his alluring proximity was making me crave for him, a part of me actually wanting him to...to...

...BITE down on me. Longing for him to sink his TEETH into my neck...

Hold on. What?!

My breathing was now becoming quite heavy as he planted slow, soft, seductive kisses on my neck, sucking at my skin in between his lips. His icy cold breath was giving me goose bumps and unsettling the cage of butterflies inside of my stomach. I then felt his sharp teeth briefly brush my skin, triggering me to say something that I basically felt I had no control over...

"Do...it...do it...bite me..." I whispered, breathing erratically in between each word.

I didn't know what on earth had overcome me. I had a sneaking suspicion though that it was something that was beyond my rational control, something that had strangely intoxicated my mind and my body. That the intently mesmerised person that I'd become at that moment, knew the very reason that I'd longed for him to hurt me.
