Chapter 47 - Grief

I just sat there, on the edge of the bed, half naked, not sure of what to do. I looked down at my hands that were now shaking, and realised that I'd dropped my phone. I immediately lent down and picked it back up.

"Miranda dear? Are you there? Please get here as soon as you can."

"S-sorry Nan, yep, I'll be there as soon as I can. Love you." I replied before hanging up. I turned to Will who was now sitting up and looking at me with great concern. He looked a slight bit guilty, probably for having also felt a little selfish for just wanting to throw the phone across the room when there were way more important things going on around us.

He quickly shuffled over and sat next to me, wrapping his warm arms around me in a sweet embrace. I pulled away a little to look up at his face. "We're never going to get our moment, are we?" I asked him with puppy dog eyes, seriously wondering if it were true. Will just chuckled at me, finding my frustration somehow amusing. I pouted at him, probably looking like a spoilt little kid that didn't get her way.

"You're cute when you whinge." He said, making me melt inside. He gently kissed my forehead before standing up to gather our clothes. I then realised that I didn't have much time to waste, so as soon as Will threw me my dress I shoved it on, and rummaged around my room gathering some things to put into my bag.

I didn't even bother to look in the mirror, I was always quite vain but I figured at times like these my appearance did not matter in the slightest. I looked over at Will who was only just pulling his shirt over his head, and couldn't help but feel my heart sink again at how long I'd now have to wait until I could take that shirt back off of him.

He smiled at me causing my heart to flutter and made his way over to me, wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me into him. "We'll get our moment Miranda, don't worry. And trust me, I will make sure that it will be worth your wait." He seductively whispered, just making me melt even more. This seriously wasn't helping the situation, I was almost tempted to throw him onto the bed and get it over and done with quickly before we left, because I knew that I would be tremendously distracted by the thought of it right up until it actually happened.

Will then leaned down and gently took my lips into his, throwing my body into that familiarly mesmerised state. I pushed into the kiss, and was about to slip my tongue into his mouth before he pulled away slightly. "I love you Miranda." He whispered there against my lips, and as soon as he'd said it I pressed my lips back onto his one last time. He literally stole my breath away, and I just couldn't get enough of it.

He was again the one to break away from the kiss, and as soon as I saw his eyes, I knew why. His pupils were extremely dilated, and he was trying to hide it from me. "We better get out of here before you get me even more hungry." He whispered. I couldn't help but giggle.

He grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the front door. We made our way down towards my car, and Will offered to drive. Of course I let him, I felt much more comfortable when he took control of things like this.

The drive there was relatively silent, but it wasn't uncomfortable in the least. Will and I didn't have to speak to fill the silence, we were completely at ease with one another. Once we finally pulled up into the driveway, I jumped out of the car as quickly as I possibly could and headed for the front door, Will closely following behind me.

Once I got to the door, Nan had pulled it open before I even got a chance to knock. "Hello darling, hello Will my dear." She greeted us, concern written all over her face. She tried to hide it with a heart-warming smile but I could read her too easily.

I hugged her warmly, and she held onto me as I tried to pull away, so that she could study me more closely. A smirk started to twitch at the sides of her mouth. "What is it Nan?" I asked, a little worried about what she had apparently noticed.
