The rain falls down on my brow
Tears mix with the downpour
The lightning flashes out
Frightening me with its
thundering on clouds
Oh God help the flame within
To remain lit,
because I weep in the cold again
I fear that I'll lose you within me
If this light fades since I fear the dark
I may not be able to live no more
And as the rain thunders on my head
I will not shy away tonight
This war cannot frighten me in
To submission; never again!
So no; I won't hide; not this time
But I'll stand, and dance until
The morning light
Dawns upon this mud
For You are here; and ready to forgive
