For this world is not my home
I am just passing through
I must believe in
Your mercy and love
Gotta accept this holy gift
And carry on in
Your strength alone
This is the ragamuffin's path,
my home is just beyond sight
It's onward through the mist
And the sufferings
that I must endure now
Are like smoke beside
the eternity that I reach for
Though forgiveness seems far;
and the love further still
It's nearer than
I could ever realize,
I am forgiven;
I am worth-while;
I am loved;
and I am free
On this lonely road;
the ragamuffin's path!
