I lift up my arm for you
And on it is a black tattoo
Winding an twisting around
My past and future sound
The outcry of scars now covered in ink
The blood stains back in memories
Though this black tattoo is dark to you
To me it means the ways I stood in truth
Forgiven of the blackness of my lonely soul
At night it glows in the dark for the world to know
I'm the child of an amazing King
Who enlightens through this black tattoo the freedom in me
So at night what once was dark and blackened in day
Glows violet in many different ways
This black tattoo might make you think ill of me
That maybe I'm locked up and caged, but I'm free
The darkness hasn't victored over His grave
And thus, has not made me its slave!
