Caith’s point of view

When I awoke this morning my head was pounding and I had the craziest dreams involving Erid and being chased by a grey wolf. I shook my head and took a bath before heading downstairs. Erid had made an early visit and I was surprised yet happy. I would be home for quite a while and a few visits would not hurt. After I washed the dishes and did a general clean up of my room I took some painkillers and lay back. My body was not paining as much but moving had gotten a few of the cuts worked up and they began to hurt. I lay there until my eyes closed. I was lying on a bed and Erid was there, he held unto my hand and then closed his eyes. I felt myself floating and then his voice reached me. “Caith, it called. I inhaled and when I awoke my arm was tingling.

I got up and looked around me, it was late evening. I showered and pulled on a cotton dress and made my way downstairs. When I arrived I stared in shock at the chef in my kitchen. Erid?’ I asked. He turned with a smile on his face. “I’m almost finished sit down and I’ll bring everything over,” he said. I sat down and he pulled out a plate and started piling stuff on it. I sat back as he put the plate in front of me and smiled. “It smells delicious,” I said looking at the plate of spaghetti and tomato sauce. He pulled another chair out and took another plate. “I didn’t hear when you came in,” I said. “I came up to see you and even a lion couldn’t wake you,” he replied. I smiled and delved into my spaghetti. We cleaned up afterwards and then sat on the couch flipping through channels.

“Hey I had the craziest dream,” I said. He perked up and looked at me. “What?” he asked. “Oh nothing,” I said. “I was lying on this bed and you were there beside me holding my hand and you had your eyes closed, then I got this feeling as if I was floating and you called out my name,” I said. His eyes widened for a moment and I stared at him. “What?” I asked. “Nothing,” he replied, “I think you should stay up with me,” he said. “What, why?” I asked. “I’m going to watch a movie,” he said. “Aren’t you tired,” I asked. He smirked but shook his head. “Besides wasn’t it you who wanted to spend more time with me?” he asked. I smiled and then lay against him. “Well, ok,” I said. He put on a movie while I went for some popcorn. We sat down and he turned off the lights. The movie was some action movie, I settled down and we looked at it. It was long and by the time it hit intermission the popcorn was done. I took up the bowl and flipped on the lights and lo and behold there was Mr. Eridian Northheimer fast asleep. I smiled and tried to push his feet up. They were heavy. I settled on a blanket over him and then lay down beside.

I was back at the church, the Sanctuary they called it, I saw the lovely rose bushes and then I was walking with Dmitry going higher and higher. I stopped to get a better view and my eyes locked unto two figures near to the fountain. I stepped back as Erid’s eyes flew towards me and my eyes shot open. “Are you alright?” Erid asked me. “What happened?” I asked. “You were screaming and struggling so much I couldn’t hold you,” he said. Only then did I realize that his feet seemed to be close to my head. I sighed and he helped me up. “Another crazy dream,” I said. “Want to tell me?” he asked. “I don’t think you’ll like it,” I said. “It’s alright,” he said. “I told him about the Sanctuary and the figures at the fountain, he nodded wide eyed and then turned away.

“What?” I asked. “Nothing,” he replied. “I get the feeling that you’re not telling me something,” I said. He shook his head. “Everything you need to know is right here,” he said and then bent and kissed my lips. “I think I need to hear that again,” I said. He smiled and leaned in again but before I could reach him he pulled away. “You cheated,” I said. He smiled and then stood up. “You should get some sleep,” he said. I sighed and stood up. “Are you leaving?” I asked. “Yeah I have to get some files in,” he said. I sighed and turned from him. “I’ll be back in the morning,” he said. “Yeah whatever,” I said and began to walk away. He caught my hand and I spun around. “I didn’t know you missed me so much,” he said. I gulped as he stared at me and the without another word leaned in and captured my lips. My hands reached out for his and we stood their arms entwined. A rush of warmth flooded my body and I felt myself being lifted. I stared at Erid and then stepped back. “What?” he asked. “Your eyes they were orange,” I said. He shook his head and then smiled at me. “Get some sleep ok,” I nodded and watched as he left.
