Chapter 23

IN A CAPSULE

(DM's POV)

BEEEEEEEEP!!!

"Damn!!!" I made a loud beep from my car horn. I've been stuck on traffic for fifteen minutes now and I'm already late for Willa. I accidentally left my phone in the office and I can't turn my back now. Willa's probably flooding me with messages and calls already. "Shit this!" I exclaimed.

There was an accident in the area that caused the traffic heavier than usual. If only I was able to bring my phone.

After another fifteen minutes, I parked my car infront of the restaurant I instructed her to go to straight from the airport. She's probably mad at me now. I mean, I didn't answer any of her messages last night and then she's ambushed again and made her wait for nothing. This is disaster.

When Tanya called me yesterday about the urgent meeting a while ago, I wanted Willa to come with me right on that moment but decided to let her do some of her activities instead. In the first place, it was why she went on a vacation. So I gave her a day to fulfill that and requested Tanya to book her a flight tonight. But then she said she didn't go on with the rest of the tour so it happened that the only day I could give her that was not utilized as thought.

But it's a good thing that she wasn't here last night though. The hell of what happened. I'm sure, she wouldn't be ready for that. What happened was another bullshit. Everything was a crap!

I hurried inside the cozy café, and scanned the whole room for her. And there I saw her, sitting lazily on a sofa, looking enchanted in a cute outfit, staring at an old man seated to her right. I really like her when she's wearing shorts. Or anything that shows off her legs. Her legs are divine. Just like the first time I saw her, I am awestruck once more. I walked towards her.

"I'm sorry, baby."

She was startled and looked at me as if she was frightened by my presence. She stared at me as if she saw someone else. But when recovered, she suddenly sat properly and signalled me to sit beside her.

"Ba't ngayon ka lang, DM?" God, how I missed that voice. Instead of sitting beside her just like she motioned me to, I bowed to her and cupped her face. It's been a long day, even a rough one I may say, and the only thing that I ever want right now is to hold her. And be with her. I claimed her lips in a deep and passionate kiss. I suddenly felt better and I never want this to end anymore. Never.

(Willa's POV)

Thirty minutes na akong nasa café kung saan daw ako susunduin ni DM pero ni hindi man lang ito sumasagot sa mga tawag at texts ko. Heto na naman ang sakit ni DM. Nakakainis na talaga. Kanina pa ako binabalik-balikan ng isa sa mga service crew para tanungin ang order ko pero paulit-ulit din akong sumasagot na may hinihintay akong kasama. Nang medyo nakakaramdam na ako ng hiya, nag-order na lang ako ng isang milk tea. Malapit na talaga akong maasar kay DM. Hindi naman lahat ng oras pwede niya akong paasahin lang! Hindi ako marunong sa mind games kaya kung plano niyang maghulaan kami, wala siyang mapapala sa akin. Naku naman! Pasado alas diyes na ng gabi! Ano'ng petsa na, DM?!

Balak ko na ngang i-text sina Sean at Blake pero biglang may pumasok sa pinto. Akala ko naman si DM na, pero hindi rin pala. Isang lolo ang pumasok. Napansin kong lagi siguro ito sa café na iyon kasi magiliw itong inasikaso ng mga crew. Agad-agad din siyang binigyan ng kape at tinapay. Alam agad ng mga ito ang hilig ng matanda.

Nakatitig lang ako rito habang binabasa nito ang dala-dalang libro. Mukhang engrossed ito sa binabasa dahil hindi man lang ito matinag. Relaxed lang siya at tila nasa ibang mundo. Sabagay, ganu'n naman talaga kapag nagbabasa ka. Wala kang pakialam sa kasalukuyang nangyayari dahil ang nasa isip mo ay nasa isang paglalakbay.
