"You're leaving U.A.?"
Y/N nodded at Shinsou's question with a small smile. "Mhm."
"That's a shame. But, it's your decision so I suppose it can't be helped."
By some miracle, the hyperactive Mei Hatsume had fallen sick and was cooped up at her dorm room like a shrimp. With her friend not around, Y/N spent her lunch period in the back of the school, alternating from eating her lunch and tinkering with whatever a new robot.
Suddenly, Shinsou appeared, bento box in hand and with a surprised expression. Y/N could tolerate his presence, maybe even enjoy it. And so, she invited him to join her.
"Your new invention looks like a spinning top." The boy commented, pointing out the shape on the blueprint.
"Or like a Beyblade?"
"Yeah."
"I also thought it looked like a spinning top when I first saw it in Fontaine. That place is now known as France, by the way." Shinsou nodded at the little piece of information.
"Anyways, what do you plan on doing after dropping out?" The boy couldn't help but wonder.
"Hmm..." She hummed, eyes closed in deep thought. "I suppose I'd eat and sleep to my heart's content. And if I've got nothing better to do, maybe confront the Abyss and the League so they'd finally stop this nonsense."
"Want to know the one thing I'll miss about U.A.?" Shinsou tilted his head to the side, honestly surprised that the girl, who has held nothing but resentment for this school, would actually miss something about it.
Without waiting for a response from the boy, Y/N replied. "The cafeteria. Lunch Rush is an amazing chef."
"Couldn't you just program Katheryne to be like Lunch Rush?"
"I could, but it's fun tasting different varieties of dishes. That's why I programmed Katheryne to have a different style of cooking. If her and Lunch Rush were to cook the same dish, chances are, I'd still be able to tell the difference."
"Is that so?" Y/N nodded. "Mhm. I could let you try out her cooking. You won't be disappointed." Shinsou smiled. "I'll keep that in mind."
"Ms. Y/N, Sir Shinsou, lunchtime is almost over. You'd best get back to classes to avoid being tardy." Katheryne reminded, appearing from behind them.
"Thanks, Katheryne. It was nice talking with you, Shinsou. We should do this more often." The two bid farewell.
"Did you visit Mei?" Katheryne nodded. "How's her condition?"
"It's just a common cold. Nothing a few vitamins and some pills couldn't fix."
"I see. Stay with Mei, I'm going to make her some medicine." As Y/N walked off, the robot couldn't help but smile.
