Chapter 96

Kimiko's P. O. V:

Sai murmurs as Ten Tails roars in outrage, "So you don't know, and yet you keep working with Sasuke? Why's that?"

"The answer is simple," Says the auburn haired man, "it's because I exist to protect him."

Naruto addresses the Uchiha, "Hey, Sasuke! There are still other Tailed Beasts inside that gigantic one!" Naruto clenches his teeth. "So douse those black flames when it's weakened. Then Kurama and I will pull them out!"

"No, I won't," Says Sasuke seriously. "They all burn!" Naruto gasps in shock at this.

"Listen! Don't you understand?! If we don't save them now, we're gonna have a lot of trouble later on!"

Hashirama glances up at Sasuke thoughtfully who is still staring at Ten Tails' burning body. Suddenly, Sasuke lets out a gasp of surprise as a section of Ten Tails breaks off the burning flesh and it disintegrates on the ground, hissing.

"Tch!" Sasuke hisses. Snarls sound from around him, causing Sasuke to jerk around. Fissions close in around Sasuke and Naruto.

Sai lands on Katsuyu behind Sakura and says as he straightens, "Sakura, may I ask you something?" She doesn't answer or glance at him. "I don't know him well, so I can't see it impartiality. Sasuke can't be trusted or considered a true comrade! What are your feelings on the matter, Sakura?"

She says with a timid smile, half turning to him, "Don't worry. I-It's just that Sasuke has come back to us again. That fact makes me sincerely happy, and I do fully believe him!"

Even I could tell the smile Sakura gives the ravenette is fake. I can't imagine what she's feeling right now, considering Sakura used to love Sasuke when we were Genin.

Ino asks Shikamaru who is gazing at the pinkette and Sai, "What's up, Shikamaru?"

He mutters in response, looking away, "It's nothing."

Awhile later, a scream of exertion and rage bursts through the battlefield and into our ears. I recognise it as Obito Uchiha as I whip my head behind me, gasping.

Half of Obito's body is black as a gold aura swirls around Madara.

But there was no sign of my Sensei yet.

The green aura fades from around me as black spots dance across my vision. I collapse against Katsuyu.

"Kimiko! I thought I told you not to overdo it?!" Sakura snaps down at me.

"Ngh, I know, Pinky," I grunt as I straighten myself up. I decide to not use that Jutsu for awhile. I guess using it right after a bunch of Sage Art Jutsus wasn't exactly a bright idea....

Hashirama says to Naruto and Sasuke, "Lads, you're all closer! Go stop the Jutsu of the one atop Ten Tails right now!"

"Okay! Got it—" Naruto cuts himself off as Sasuke shoots past on Aoda. Naruto whips around to him, hissing. "Sasuke!"

Minato mutters, looking up, "I see. So that's the way it is, huh?"

Hashirama makes six more Wood Clones. He looks to his brother as he says pointedly, "Tobirama!"

"Right!" Tobirama nods his head once before putting his hands in a familiar cross sign. Two exact copies of him poof into existence behind Tobirama. He looks at them in surprise. "I can only make two of them? This is so embarrassing."

"We'll just have to make do with what we have," Says Hashirama before his Wood Clones dash in Madara's direction.

I notice Minato doing a familiar hand sign. Obito's hair starts turning white as he groans and struggles against Madara.
