Slight angst
João had a game today and they lost very badly, 4-1. You were watching from the stands, cheering him on whenever he had the ball. But the other team kept scoring. You can tell that he was getting frustrated with himself throughout the game.
After a rough 90 minutes the game finally ended, you immediately got up from your seat and made your way to the locker room. You waited patiently by the door. Someone came out of the locker. It was Antoine, he gave a side hug before saying "he'll be out soon just give him some time". You thanked him before he left. João finally came out, he gazed soften when he noticed you were there.
"You did good today, y'know" you said as you gave him a kiss on the cheek. He didn't say anything, but he wrapped his arms around your waist. "Let's go home, hm?" he mumbled.
He offered to drive , the car ride was silent. He kept one hand on the steering wheel while the other one was resting on your thigh.
When you got home, João was the first one to break silence "I'm going to take a shower," he said. You simply nod in response.
He settles down after his shower. You two were cuddling together on the bed but none of you spoken a word to each other .
"Are you okay?" you asked, concerned.
"I'll be okay, today's game just disappointed me. We were doing so good at first," he sighs as he moves closer to you and rests his head on your shoulder. you pulled him in closer, kissing the top of his head.
"I know, but don't beat yourself over it. You did so good today, don't let one game being you down." you say while giving him a kiss on his forehead in attempt to comfort him. Which seemed to worked
"I love you Y/n" he says as he pulls you even closer, and rest his eyes.
"I love you too, João"
